9: Poles Apart Flashback

As per a reader's suggestion, I am writing this track. This track is from my story PolesApart. It starts from two months after Riansh's marriage.

Vansh's POV

"Riddhima, get ready fast!", I shouted.

This woman.. always takes hours to get ready. Today is Riva's PTM, she should be careful, but no she had to woke Riva first, do household chores, then attend doctor's conferences and now she had to hurry to get ready. N numbers of time, I have told her, not to worry about breakfast and all, we had so many servants..but this ziddhima wants her daughter to eat the food made by her! She is literally spoiling her.

"Ma, come fast please!", Riva shouted.

"Yes beta, a second!", Riddhima replied.

Look.. from thirty minutes she is repeating the same line. Huh! These women! I glanced Riva who was also irritated from her mother's behaviour by now. Poor girl! She was waiting for this day for ages.. today finally she is going to introduce Riddhima as her mother to her friends, who used to make fun of her for not having mother.

"I am Ready!", Riddhima said, while applying lipstick.

"Are you sure?", I asked.

"Yes!", she shouted.

We all reached the School. We collected Riva's report card and as usual she was passed from flying colours. Riddhima was boasting herself in front of other mothers. You know mother's love no!! This Riddhima, always praises Riva so much.. sometimes I too forget if she is talking about my daughter, because the way she uses words 'my daughter can do this..', I am speechless.. Well, Riva enjoys her attention. I know she had got her mother after so much long time and also after crossing so many hurdles, so she simply enjoys how Riddhima boasts Riva and herself being proud mother.

"Hi Riva, meet my sister. I showed her your paintings and she is crazy over them.", a girl said to Riva.

"Oh.. thank you..", Riva said blushing.

"Oh, my daughter, you know she is a fab painter..", Riddhima again starts boasting.

Riva introduces the girl to us and we talked to her sister as well. Riva was fascinated with the little sister a lot. In the whole return journey, she kept on talking about the little girl. Riddhima and I could only smile at her cute talks.

As soon as we reached our room. Riva ran towards Riddhima and hugged her.

"Ma.. I want something!", she said with hesitation.

"Yes beta, tell me what you want.. I will give you anything.", she spoke.

"Promise?", Riva asked.

"Yes beta, tell me what you want?", Riddhima asked.

"Ma I want a sister or brother. All of my friends have a sibling except me..Ma..I want a sibling too..", Riva spoke.

Uh oh.. How many times I had asked Riddhima for second child, but she always made excuses, now what she will do.. well done Riva!!Your Papa is proud of you!

I took Riva with myself in the lawn, so that she could play there and I could talk to Riddhima about Riva's wish.. well her wish was a boon to me..
