"Uh, Sara and I are kind of checking something out right now." Clarity objected.
"It's okay, Pachirisu. Go help her." Sara told her with a tilt of her head.
"Are you sure?" Clarity asked Sara, hesitating. Not wanting to leave her to do this alone.
"Kid Ray is the priority. Go, make sure nothing happens to him. I'm just doing a little recon, I'll be fine by myself."
"Okay.. be safe, Sara." Clarity told her glitching away to Zari's location.
"How can he just disappear so quickly?" Zari complained as Clarity appeared beside her. "He was out of my line of sight for two seconds."
"He was an Eagle Scout, he knows how to cover his tracks." Clarity replied.
"Looks like a false alarm. No sign of the time bureau here." Sara's voice sounded through the coms.
"Are you sure? I still feel something there." Clarity protested.
"I'll keep you posted. It looks like we're arrest free this mission." Sara replied clicking off her com. A swing squeaked by her, she turned to look at it and a dominantor hit the assassin knocking her out cold sending her flying into a jungle gym.
"This is the place." Clarity told Zari from where she crouched up on a tree branch having hoped to be able to see into the little fort from above and catch a glimpse of the baby, or kid Ray, but no such luck. He's done a splendid job making the roof.
"Yeah, I kind of figured." Zari replied as she walked closer to the tiny woodland fort.
"Gumball, no don't eat that. It was a gift from someone very very special. An Angel." Young Ray's voice sounded from the tent, the sound of beads snapping together could be heard.
"Kid, I know you're in there." Zari told the boy sounding oh so done.
"Oh, good, you found us." Ray breathed.
"Did you doubt we would?" Clarity replied sounding amused.
"Atom suits a little small right now." Ray replied with a tilt of his head.
"Ray, your electrical signature doesn't alter when you grow up." Clarity explained. "Your kid self feels the same to me as adult you, there's just not as much electrical energy running through his body."
"You shall not pass." Young Ray squatted down holding a sword out towards Zari.
"There's no time for make-believe." Zari protested. "You are in actual danger."
"Step down, you knave." Young Ray protested.
"Zari, think like a kid." Ray urged. "You just have to play along."
"No, that's stupid. We don't have time to-"
"Sir knight, I am the Zarysa of the Zorcai isles." Clarity glitched down behind a tree emerging from behind it using her Zarysa voice walking every bit like the goddess she was worshipped as when she was time scattered. "Speak thy name so I may know who it is I address."
"You..." Kid Ray dropped his sword mouth dropped open eyes wide in shock. He shut his mouth doing his best to compose himself. "You honor me, Zarysa. I am Sir Galahad, knight of Camelot."
"Sir Galahad, most chivilarous of all knights. This is my escort madame Zari." Clarity curtsied gesturing to Zari.
"Don't rope me into this." Zari protested.
"Zari." Ray pleaded. "Just do it."
"Ugh, I'm... I'm here from a neighboring kingdom on the Zarysa's behest to speak to Sir Galahad." Zari faked an English accent as she spoke to the child.
