Doom Is Omnipresent (3)

Start from the beginning

"Your majesty, I await your orders!"

A burly demon clad in adamantium armor, wielding a 6-meter golden spear with a black tip spoke while waiting for my command.

The said burly demon was Belial, the archdemon. He possessed a lot of authority and power in this castle but he was one of the demons under my command.

They do my bidding while I sit here on my throne in seclusion.

"Did the plan went well?"

"Yes, your majesty. Unfortunately, the five supreme demons that we had sent had died during their mission but rest assured that all of the human heroes have died."

"I guess it was inevitable. After all, there is one variable that I have not to fathom interfering with my plans. That said variable wasn't even in the prophecy."

"Indeed your majesty. Please excuse me as I will command the 25 supreme demons to attack the holy church and kill the variable who interfered with our plans."

"Good. Now go!"

The burly archdemon disappeared in an instant as I have commanded him to do so.

I am the only one left in the main hall of the castle.

"I'm bored! How long have I been sitting on this throne? 600 years? I forgot. I should at least take part in the war. If it weren't for that damn treaty!"

I got up my throne and used [Teleportation] to move outside the castle.

*stomp*

*stomp*

*stomp*

The sound demon soldiers marching and some of them are doing hand-to-hand combat.

The war was indeed inevitable.

If it weren't for those humans who conquered our demon continent in ancient times we demons wouldn't have been hostile towards them.

Their greed overwhelms me! Those hypocrite beings fight in the name of fake justice and they only fight those who are weaker than them.

Such disgusting beings indeed! The demon ancestors were right. The humans are filthy hypocrite beings who love to wage war yet they act as if they were the ones being attacked.

Those humans from another world that they have summoned have been tainted with their lies.

It's a good thing I asked my soldiers to kill them and free them from the manipulation of those corrupt kings. They don't need to suffer from this world.

Come to think of it... The prophecy from this era has misled most of the beings here.

The prophecy said that there would be 2 goblin heroes summoned from another world.

Why was the other goblin hero evolved into a goblin hero after killing the extra summoned hero?

Are the gods even blind to let a monster who killed a hero become a hero?

I must be missing something...

What if the goblin was not from this world? But last time I checked the goblin hero's body doesn't emit foreign substance.

The only possible theory that I could come up with using my high Intelligence stat was that the goblin hero was reincarnated into this world.

The goblin hero's body was from this world but the soul was from another world.

That may sound absurd considering the reincarnation theory was never proven, only the other worlds theory.

If that was the case then this world was becoming more interesting than I thought.

I planned on invading the holy church with 25 supreme demons but I will grant the goblin hero a month to prepare for the battle!

"I hope that little goblin will entertain this bored one!"

Axel's PoV:

I packed up some stuff just to show that I have brought something with me since I can't reveal anything about the system inventory.

I opened the door of the house and went out of the house buy my hand was held by Aerin.

"Where are you going?"

Aerin asked while her face didn't hide her expression of being worried.

"I need to become stronger so my destination will be in Killing Mountain."

"It's dangerous there. Most of the people who went in there became insane after going out of the mountain due to the immense killing aura."

"That's why I must go there. If I can't handle the killing aura in there then I wouldn't be able to confront the demon lords."

Aerin went silent for a while. She must be thinking of a way to stop me from going.

"Will you promise me to come back safe?"

Aerin asked while looking straight into my eyes.

"Sorry, I can't."

I bluntly answered Aerin. I'm not even sure myself if I could handle the killing aura let alone the monsters in there but I must go.

Aerin went silent again. She placed her hand into my cheek, closed her eyes, and kissed me on my lips.

I hugged Aerin in return and we went on for several seconds before letting go of each other.

"That will be my parting gift for you. I haven't acted as your fiancee but there is a chance that I might not see you again so if this is the last time we can see each other again, I want to make it more memorable for you."

"I'll be back for who knows how long but I will be a man you will be proud of. I won't return unless I become strong enough to face the demon lords."

I said to Aerin while walking out of the house and going outside.

I turned back again to take a glance at her and she seems to be telling something to me but I couldn't hear it despite my high stats. I don't why but I just can't.

Due to knowing lip reading, I could interpret her message and she might have said 'I love you! Please come back safe!'.

I ran and went out of the Holy Church's territory and headed towards the Killing Mountain.

Thanks to the system map, I will be arriving at the exact location of Killing Mountain.

"Goodbye, Aerin and the others."
