"Liar! I would never do such a thing!" My words are hollow and as brittle as bones.I study my hands. My clean,unbloodied hands.
"Y/n! Stop denying it! We all know you killed him!" Aoi yells, tears tracking down her face. Pathetic. She has to always be self-righteous, doesn't she? If only I'd killed her instead.
Oh yeah! I was lying. I did kill Kiyotaka. There's only one reason I haven't admitted already and accepted defeat.
"Y/n- is it really true?" Leon stammers. His fiery hair is matted from running his hands through it, his icy eyes pleading. "No- no no no no no. It can't be. You wouldn't."
Just like that, my heart is torn from my chest and lands in a bloody heap in the carpeted floor.
"I would." My voice comes out in a whisper. "I did kill him."
"No- no no no no. This is- this is stupid! You didn't- you couldn't- you-"
My hands reach out in vain from across the courtroom, touching nothing but air.
"I killed him." I rub my face and realise they're soaked with tears.
"Well, looks like we're ready to vote." Celestia mutters dryly.
"NO!" Leon screams, his voice raw. "You're wrong! Y/n would never kill anyone..."
"She just admitted to it..." Junko rolled her eyes.
Leon keeps going, every word like a knife twisting in my stomach.
"But- but- do we have anymore evidence?! Anything?!"
"It was me. Please, just end this stupid trial!" I grin at Leon through the tears. "I'd rather die than see you sad." I look down at my clothes, straightening my hair. How do you prepare for your death? How do you say goodbye to your soulmate?
"Y/n-" Leon's voice is drowned out by Monokuma's shrieking, the clang of metal around my neck. The world turns bloody red as my neck is crushed and Ican'tbreatheIcan'tbreatheIcan'tbreathe-
I rocket backwards and the last words I hear are yelled from far away.
