Dance With Somebody

Chapter 9

Third Person

"I've been in love and lost my senses
Spinning through the town"

"Are you streaming?" They both said at the same time which caused them both to laugh.

"Nora what's going on?" Tubbo said turning on his camera and locked the VC so nobody else could join.

Nora nervously twisted the rings on her hand before taking a deep breath.

"I mean you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. God, I sounded rude there. If you're not comfortable with--" Tubbo started before Nora cut him off.

"I don't honestly know. One minute I was at home and now I'm in my new apartment. Something happened between my parents and I have no idea what. My mother was really upset when we left i had to pack everything and move so quickly, and i know i'm safe but im scared." She then rambled on about how her dad would always treat her and that there were so many good times with him but there were even more bad ones.

Tubbo did not protest, he stayed with the girl as she rambled on for hours. It didn't bother him to listen to her talk, he could listen to that all day he thought.

Though he didn't know how to help the girl, he decided he would try his best.

"Hey Nora?" Tubbo said once the girl finished
her rant.

"Yeah Tubbo?" Nora said as she laid down on the floor in the camera range after turning it on.

"I'm proud of you, you know? I know i haven't known you for long but you are a really nice and funny person. I mean look at you! You're 17 with two successful jobs and you have a flat all to yourself. You have a loving mother even if your father is a pain in the ass. You have some amazing friends and you made so many that you haven't even met yet, Nora you are literally like an angel sent from above and sometimes it gets hard but you just gotta get back up and throw life a punch back." Tubbo rambled as the girl laid staring at her ceiling with tears streaming down her face.

Nora couldn't help but bubble with happiness and want to hug the boy for making her feel better.

"As wilbur once said 'make life your bitch.'" Tubbo stated as all he wanted to do for the girl was shout words of encouragement and happiness to make her feel better but nothing came out.

He was frozen, No it was like he was frozen. I mean all the times he's seen Skylar run into Ranboo's room when she was having a bad day and how quickly he handled it, I guess he thought it was going to be easy.

But then again Ranboo and Skylar had each other in person, he held her until she was okay and she didn't let go. Same with Phil, Tubbo didn't understand how they dealt with it so easily but Tubbo felt as though she was doing a good job.

Which he was according to Nora, Tubbo had done a fantastic job.

It was now almost midnight for the pair as they talked about random things, Tubbo felt as though he needed her to laugh and smile the rest of the time they talked.

"Nora, can i have your number so i can get off my PC?" Tubbo said even though he had discord on his phone she didn't need to know that right now.

Nora said her number as Tubbo typed it in before texting her before hand making sure it was her because he seemed to mess up the number the first time and text a whole stranger, which Nora couldn't stop laughing at so it made Tubbo feel better.

Once he got her actual number in his phone he facetimed her and she answered while in her new kitchen trying to look for something to eat before giving up because all she had were 2 apples.

"New apartment, No food" Nora said sitting on the hardwood floor in the middle of her living room.
"What do you want to eat?" Tubbo said as he paused. Nora tilted her head in confusion before brushing it off and laying back down on the cold floor.

"Pizza sounds so good" She said as her stomach growled.

"Nor? Whats your address?" Tubbo asked which caught Nora off guard. I mean the entire sentence did. Not many people called Nora, 'Nor' Normally only her mother would.

"Promise me you wont dox me?" Nora said jokingly before sending Tubbo her address. Nora has always been extremely spontaneous which was probably going to bite her back somewhere in the future but she didn't mind. She was prepared and ready.

"Tubbbboooo what are you doing?" She said as the brown haired boy went on pause again.

"Your pizza should be there in about twenty minutes." Tubbo said as Nora sat up immediately and looked at the camera to see the boy with a smile on his face as he laid in his bed with the only light source coming from his phone.

"You didn't have too" Nora said, starting to tear up again as her voice was almost a whisper. Tubbo heard her though and she knew he did.

He lightly smiled before saying she deserved it, as Nora responded with a bunch of thank you's and tears.

"This kitchen is gonna be good for dance parties!" Nora said as she was taking Tubbo on a tour of her flat.

"When we meet up can we have a dance party?" He asked getting excited which caused the girl to as well.

"Yes, yes we can! In both my house and yours!" Nora responded back to the boy as she started lightly dancing around her kitchen making him laugh.

"Right now i'm kinda like whitney huston" Nora said before laughing, as Tubbo watched the girl he couldn't help but smile.

"How are you like Whitney Huston?" He said before realizing why she said that.

"Because i want to dance with somebody!" Nora shouted as her front door opened and her mother walked through with pillows in her hands.

Nora then got up and propped her phone up so Tubbo could see them as they grabbed things from the car and brought them inside.

Maura needed a little help bringing in the couch but the rest was easy.

They had to build the bed frame and the mattress would slowly inflate overnight so that meant Nora would probably sleep on the couch or floor.

"Hello Mother Nora!" Tubbo shouted which caused Maura to pick up her daughter's phone and start talking to Tubbo.

Nora smiled as she started building her bed stand and a knock on the door rang out through the entire house.

"What's that?" Maura said looking at her daughter and the boy who both started giggling lightly. Nora then got up, walked over the door and grabbed the pizza, brought it inside to where her mother was sitting on the floor because she didn't get a table.

Though she had an island in the middle of the kitchen she didn't have stools for it so they sat on the floor.

"You bought pizza?" Maura said looking at the younger girl before opening the box and digging in.

"Actually he did!" Nora said as Tubbo set his phone up on his nightstand and was starting to fall asleep which made Nora tired.

She quickly ate and her mother left her alone for her first night in the flat by herself. Well she wasn't really by herself because Tubbo was on the phone.

Nora then muted and got changed before grabbing blankets and cuddling up on the couch and looking at the already sleeping boy and smiled. She then drifted off to sleep with amazing dreams that night
