"Of course man, that's what friends are for."

"We'll see you tomorrow Nick." I said as we all stood at the side of the hallway. "Meet us in the parking lot at 8.30 and I'll show you around."

"That'd be great, thanks Sky." he said.

"I would introduce you to my football guys but I'll have to leave that up to Lucas and Ryan I'm afraid." Carter said.

"Really? How come?" Nick asked.

"He got suspended for the day." Hailey sniggered beside him, causing Carter to shove her softly in the arm.

"Hard luck man, I guess I'll see you on Tuesday then." Nick said.

"Yeah, see you then." Carter said, before Nick left alongside Will and Savannah.

"Time for us to go too." I heard Dawn say from behind us.

We don't see Dawn and Mateo too often although Dawn is my Dad's sister. We recently learnt that they both took a step back from the mafia years ago to focus on themselves, start a small business and travel more once their kids got older.

Hailey's older brother and sister are 24 and 26, putting her quite far apart from them. She's still close to them, but I know she doesn't see Ellie and Benji as much as she'd like. None of us do to be honest, but that's what happens when you grow up I suppose.

"I'll see you tomorrow Sky." Hailey said, hugging me closely.

"Okay, Lucas and Ryan said that they'd drive me to school seeing as Carter won't be able to, so I'll just meet you in our usual spot." I replied.

She agreed and then they all left, leaving just my three other family members and myself in the house once again. Back to quiet normality.

Leanne and Hailey always carpool in the morning seeing as they live closest to each other. We live much closer to the boys than either of them, being on the same street and all, but the girls are still close, only 10 minutes away.

After everyone had left, I helped my Mom clean everything away and then headed up to bed.

I didn't particularly want to go back to school, but then again who does?

At least I wouldn't have to worry about Jake and Carter fighting again tomorrow...

"We're here!" Ryan yelled through the hallway the next morning, so that the entire house could hear him.

I was stood in front of my mirror, brushing through my straightened hair as I heard Lucas telling Ryan to be quiet as he shut the front door.

I quickly grabbed my bag and my phone off of my bed and rushed down the stairs.

"Hey guys!" I greeted.

"Good morning." Lucas replied, smiling up at me with his hands buried in his pockets.

"Ready for school little lady?" Ryan asked me cheekily.

He seemed hyper for it being only 8AM, but then again, he has the energy of a golden retriever puppy.

"I'm only a year younger than you Ryan." I replied to his comment.

"A year and a half actually, and two school years so...ha." he mocked as I shook my head in amusement, looking up at them both.

"Good morning boys!" Mom called cheerily as she came out from the kitchen. "There's some pancakes in the kitchen if you'd like some."

"No thanks Julia, we've already ea-" Lucas began before being immediately cut off.

"Yes please!" Ryan said excitedly, jumping like a little girl on christmas before running after my mom into the kitchen.

"Unbelievable." Lucas sighed.

"No it's not." I laughed, shaking my head and looking up at his tall frame as he returned my gaze.

"You're right it's not."

We stood in silence holding eye contact for a second before being interrupted by loud footsteps on the hallway balcony above us.

"Morning Lucas." Carter called.

He was shirtless, of course, causing me to roll my eyes in disgust as he wiped his brow with a towel before whipping it over his shoulder and leaning onto the banister above us.

"Morning Carter, you got any plans for your day of suspension?" he chuckled.

"Just gonna waste the day away in the gym, I guess. Might go and see Jamie at work." he shrugged.

Jamie works alongside Kayla in her bar and he loves it. He didn't want to go to college but I suppose that's a good thing seeing as he now wants to follow in his dad's footsteps.

Before they could continue their conversation, Ryan walked out of the kitchen with his mouth stuffed full of Mom's pancakes and another spare in his right hand.

"Morning Carter." he said inaudibly through his full mouth.

"Morning Ry." Carter chuckled. "You make sure that Bale stays away from Skylar today, okay?"

"You got it chief." Ryan said, saluting jokingly to Carter with his spare hand.

"Carter!" I exclaimed.

"I'm kidding!" Carter said, holding his hands up defensively.

"No you're not." Lucas laughed.

"You're right I'm not, have a good day guys." he laughed as he ran down the corridor before I could scorn him.

"Let's just go." I sighed. "I call shotgun!" I said, turning and flinging the front door open before Ryan could beat me to it as we jumped into Lucas's black sports car.

Lets just say the boys like to indulge in their expensive cars and our Dad's don't seem to mind helping them out with the costs...
