A heavy sigh escaped his lungs as he sat on floor, his back pressed against the wall. He hugged his legs closer to his chest in an attempt to hide deeper into the shadows as silhouettes passed his cell. He sat in silence, in that small corner he had wedged himself into.
His mind was filled with thoughts.

'I didn't want to, but I had to. I had no choice. Why did I say yes? Why couldn't he leave us alone?'

He felt his heart rate increase when the large burly silhouette of a man stopped in front of the prison bars.

'Fuck, no no no no no no no. Don't be him, don't be him. Please for the love of all that's real. Do. Not. Be. Him.'

The jingling of keys rang in his ears.

'No. No. Go away.'

Tears welled in his eyes as the creak of the metal hinges groaned through the air. He shut his eyes and slammed his head into his arms upon the sound of footsteps.

Fat salty tears poured down his face as the clicking of heels got closer...
Wait...
Heels?
Silence.
...
"Oliver."
... he slowly raised his head to see Dr. Tamari-Ella Janetes. Her sapphire eyes were framed with a concerned look. She crouched to meet him at eye level.
He flinched when she touched his arm.
"Oliver, can I talk to you... alone please?" She said, her voice was barely above a whisper.
"Why?" His response was automatic.
"I need to know where Flint is." She answered dryly, her hand was still holding his arm as if to ensure he wouldn't bolt the minute he had the chance to.
He shook his head.
"I don't know..."
...
"Are you sure?"

...
He nodded.
"He left after he made me... do... that... I don't know where he is. I don't want to know... I'm not allowed to know."

She pulled her arm away.
"Why not?"

...

"Because he knows I'll kill him... not like him disappearing is going to stop me. I'll kill him eventually." He didn't let her respond. He stared at the ground as if it murdered his loved ones.

"He's the one who did everything, I was just the cover, except the bomb scheme I did that myself. He made me go to the school, he had Daniel plant the poison, he shot you with the dart. I took over from there, he was going to toss the kid in off the docks, but I had other plans. So when he wasn't looking I put him in my car and took off. That was the last time I saw him."

He lifted his eyes from the concrete and glared into her soul. It was clear the information was unpleasant to her, but he wasn't the monster HE was.
She cleared her throat and stood, her face showed immense levels of discomfort.
"Thank you, Oliver... Officer O'Donnell is going to let you call your mother... OK?" She forced a small smile with her words.
He didn't answer, just stared back at the floor.
The clack of her heels faded as her silhouette retreated from his sight.

And it was silent again.

...

He wasn't going to call his mother.
He had other ideas.
His thoughts were maliciously swimming around in his brain as a cop brought in the portable phone before leaving to stand outside the room.
He dialed the number.
...
"Hello? Who's this?"
...
A wicked grin formed across his face.
"Greese-beard... it's me."
There was silence on the other end.
"What do you need?"

"I need you to find a man named Flint Matthews. My father. But don't kill him, I'll do it myself."

"What do we get?"

"Whatever you want."

"...Consider it done."

He felt manical giggles bubble in his throat.
"Good.~"
