she's scared to let them in
because after that, they wouldn't let her out
she's got no feelings only doubts
I just want her to be proud
but it was never about me
— her and me — and if anyone would see
it would be her prize to pay
I got into a game I don't know how to play
that's why I can't let her stay
and so I pray for the pain to go away
