I always wanted to get away
To run away if I'm being honest
As far away as I could
Away from this town
Away from its gossip and chitchatting
Away from its hate and envy
I wanted to flee from the eyes that see everything
But understand nothing
From the mouths that claim to understand everything
But understand nothing
And nevertheless spread the lies like a virus
Poisoning everyone who's willing to suck it in
And penalize everyone who isn't
I wanted to escape their lies to find my truth
And one day I will
