"well who is this mcdreamy and why is he grabbing your ass?" cristina asked meredith as the couple stood at the door
"derek this is cristina, my person, and cristina this is my somewhat boyfriend derek shepherd" meredith replied while her current lover and person stood there staring at eachother
"how long has this been going on?" cristina questioned meredith angrily
"like a month, i was going to tell you but i was a little caught up in life"
"i'm going to need a whole history, lets go sit down derek and chat" cristina suspiciously led him over to the living room
"nice to meet you too" derek said while following the small woman
"don't worry you will love her" meredith reassured him
"marital status? date of birth? current living situation? siblings? blood type? profession?" cristina interrogated the man like he committed some type of crime
"divorced three months ago, october 20th 1966, four sisters, a positive, and neurosurgeon at Seattle Grace"
"ok that is all i needed, how did you meet meredith? what did you see in her?"
"what the hell!" meredith said offendedly
"calm down you know i'm right"
"well we met at a bar across the street from the hospital i work at in Seattle, we had a one night stand and never saw each other until i got a call to help out with a case here. i entered her office and to my surprise she was the one who called me. we slept together again that night while you were on call and now we are sitting here" derek thoroughly explained while smiling at meredith
"so you know about the whole U.S. situation?"
"yes"
"well that was fun guys, derek lets go back to my room" meredith smiled with a pleading look in her eyes
"whatever, don't go too hard i have a surgery at 5 in the morning, mama needs her beauty sleep" cristina chuckled lightly

"that was interesting" derek said while changing into a pair of pajamas he grabbed from his hotel before heading to meredith's apartment
"she's cristina you're gonna have to like her if you want me"
"well then i love her"
"whatever, i have something to tell you"
"what? are you pregnant cause i swear we used protection"
"no we used the glow in the dark ones, my favorite, its just that, i lied"
"about what?"
"i'm an intern at Seattle grace not mercy west" she confessed
" how come i haven't seen you? and why didn't you tell me you could've gotten an attending position from richard"
"it's not that easy derek and i didn't want you to see me as any less than what i am right now"
"meredith you will always be badass fetal, ophthalmic, general, and neuro surgeon to me, and i literally just met you" derek said with a genuine smile
"you're such a kiss ass" she said while leaning in to make out with him
"anything for your lips on mine" he said in between kisses
they spent the rest of the evening making love.

"we have one more day till we have to go back to hell" meredith said while pulling the duvet further up to cover her chest
"well lets make the best of it" he said while spooning her
"lets get up i wanna show you the best city in the world" meredith said while getting up and yanking the covers off of derek to reveal his naked body
"ugh why did you do that"
"get up pretty boy we some exploring to do"
"fine"
The couple showered and got ready for a day out.
"where are we going?" derek asked as he sat in the passengers seat
"hold your horses we literally just started driving"
"fine, it better not be the zoo i hate the smell"
"and why would i take you to the zoo?"
"i don't know, your a pretty unpredictable person"
"no i live under a banner of avoidance, i have all my life"
"are you seeing what i'm seeing?" derek said with his eyes a little wide
"is that multi car wreck? we need to go help i'm a certified emt"
"you can't just leave your car here meredith"
"i couldn't care less are you going to help me?"
"yes of course"
a day of exploring turned into a day of saving lives, meredith and derek's type of fun.
