Pose a big question at the end of a chapter. Typically, a cliffhanger stops during a climactic event midway through the action instead of its natural conclusion. Take the reader to the moment before fulfillment, stop there, and switch to another scene. They'll want to know how it plays out.

Ang cliffhanger ay iyong mga pabitin sa mga dulo ng chapter, iyong dalang-dala ka na sa scene tapos biglang tapos na pala tapos wala pang update si author kaya mas nanggigil ka. Ganito rin sa mga teleserye, gusto mo nang malaman ang susunod na mangyayari kaso wala naman sa YouTube kaya kailangan mo ulit maghintay ng 24 hours para sa bagong episode. Tulad doon sa story sa taas, sa end ng C49 nakakaintriga na, mapapatanong talaga ang readers ng 'ha?' kasi sino ba sa kanila ang nahuli. Mapapatanong ka na-nahuli na agad si Cleo? Sino 'yong tinutukoy ng pulis? Ano raw? Iyong mga ganito ba, tapos paglipat mo sa C50 naroon na agad iyong sagot. Hindi pala nahuli si Cleo, iyong katabi niya pala ang napagbintangan. Mapapa-"buti na lang" ka na lang din.
But the answers in your cliffhangers don't usually need to start at every beginning of the next chapter before the cliffhanger chapter. (Kunwari nasa end of chapter 6 ang cliffhanger) Pup'wedeng sa gitna ng chapter 7 mo i-reveal 'yong mga kasagutan, p'wede ring sa ending din ng chapter 7, it's up to you, or you can just answer it on chapter 8.
Basta tandaan lang na ang cliffhangers ay p'wede ring kakonekta ng red herrings ngunit siyempre, mas mabigat pa rin ang red herring lang sa isang chapter kung hindi gagamiting cliffhanger.
