DAY 312

EVERYTHING IS JUST too perfect for her right now. Hindi niya alam kung bakit ganun kagaan ang lahat ng bagay ngayon na si Andrew ang kasama niya. She just feels like it's something straight out of a movie or even a fairty tale. The girl finally found her prince and it will all go smoothly towards a happy ending. It's so much like a dream na minsan ay natatakot siyang magising na lang bigla at mawala ang lahat. Her heart already feels hollow with just the thought of it.

"Oh, ano to?" Andrew suddenly placed a huge box in front of her. It had "Open me when..." written on top of it with Andrew's scrawly handwriting, palagi niya talagang iniinis ang lalaki dahil sa panget nitong sulat. Iniisip na lang niyang occupational thing yun pero kasi may mga kakilala naman siyang mga doctor na magaganda ang mga sulat. "You prepared this?"

"Yes, naisip ko na bigyan ka ng long term gift kaya huwag kang madaya at bigla ka na lang magbukas randomly ah." He laughed as he messed her hair. "It's for certain situations only, hindi lang basta-basta, okay?"

"You actually think I don't have self-restraint, don't you?" tumawa siya at binuksan ang malaking box. Madaming maliliit na box doon, neatly organized so that she can see each label. "This one says "open when you first get this box". I can open it right?"

"Yes," tumango ito. "Nilagay ko talaga yan kasi alam ko na magiging curious ka."

"That's a good call, at least may teaser ako. Ang daming boxes!"

Bobbie took out the box she read out kanina at medyo kinalog iyon. Hindi niya mahulaan ang laman dahil lang doon. Binuksan na niya iyon and then she saw some polaroid photos from when he proposed to her a few weeks ago. May kasama din itong handwritten na letter. How can this grown man be this cheesy yet so cute as well? Hindi siya sanay nag anito ka-doting ang partner niya but it's something that she wants to get used to for a long, long time.

My sweet Bobbie,

This day felt like a beginning of something I only prayed for before. I wish I could turn back time and have you from the very beginning but I can't so I will only hope to be the one to give you the happiest days from here on out. I am not perfect but I hope you'll know that I always want you to be happy. I want you to be happy and loved more than anything in this world. I'm sorry that 'we' took so long to happen but I'm here with you for the long haul. I am here with you for as long as you want me to be.

"Now, I want to open all of them. Kung ang isa ay ganito na, paano pa yung iba?" She pouted. Bobbie was literally resisting to open the remaining boxes.

"Behave, don't open them unless the tag is applicable." Andrew smiled. "Promise me?"

"Okay, okay, hindi naman ako seven year old na walang self-control." She was about to close the big box nang mapansin niya ang isang box na may label na "You'll know when to open me..." "Paano ko malalaman kung ito na yung bubuksan ko?"

"You'll know, promise. I bet there will be a time that you'll know that you should open it. Gut feel lang." He smiled and helped her put the bigger box away. "We're having prawns for dinner, dumaan ako kanina sa isang farmer's market at madami akong nabili na fresh ingredients."

"Alam mo tumaba na ako mula nung ikaw na ang nagpapakain sa akin. Some of my clothes are too tight already." Paano ba naman siya hindi tataba kung ang sarap naman kasi magluto ng lalaking to. He knows so many recipes from all over the world. "Your travels probably taught you to cook that well. Ilang babae na ang pinataba mo ng ganito Andrew?"

"I worked with a lot of doctors, madami sa kanila babae and I can't just cook for myself so madami na akong napakain ng luto ko." Pagsasawalang bahala nito sa tanong niya. "Pero kung ang ibig mong sabihin ay kung ilang girlfriends na ang nagkaroon ako, I only had two. One in college and then you."
