Over the course of the next week, Sarah noticed Emily wasn't being the annoying blabbermouth she usually was. It started to take some form of prompting to get a response from her twin.
She didn't get on any calls with Calvin or Quinn, didn't get into any arguments with Shelby next door, and mostly stayed in their dorm when she wasn't in class.
Emily just wasn't being herself, and Sarah was starting to worry there was something that happened to her that weekend.
"You remember Calvin lives down the hall, right?" Sarah reminded her, "Go stare at him in person, dork."
Maybe Calvin could help get her out of this slump, or at least figure out why she was acting so weird.
"You know what? We've had a rough time with everything lately," Emily told her, trying to hold her voice steady, "Not to mention, we haven't hung out in quite a bit. We need a break."
Oh gosh, Emily was on the verge of tears. Why was she so emotional?
She must've really embarrassed herself the day of the project, or maybe she's failing the class.
Did Calvin say something dumb to her? No, then she wouldn't even look at him on her phone. He wouldn't cheat on her, so she couldn't imagine that being a possibility.
Maybe she accidentally got pregnant?
Sarah knew she'd tell her eventually if she was patient enough and didn't push her too hard.
"Girl, how bad was that project? I'm down for a break though."
