Work Hours - Part 1 •Namjoon•

Semi - Prologue

Hi, I'm Y/n and I live alone since I was probably 14 years old..
I got married when I was 22 but unfortunately, we got divorced after 2 years
Now, I'm 26 and currently single but not ready and most likely will not mingle
that is until I met my boss. Namjoon
at first, I was his one and only secretary but it turned into a more complicated relationship
how did it turn out this way? you will find out sooner

Chapter 1 - Your POV

running through my closet, cursing myself for sleeping in and on my friggin' first day of work!
I chose an outfit that is so Secretary-like and quickly wore it and went to fix myself. lucky me, I bathe last night and now I'm like a fresh butterfly that broke out of her cocoon late in the morning

I got my phone, purse and some paper works for requirements then wore my wedge sandals that are 3 inches tall then run out of my apartment, locking them.

walking out of my apartment, I started to walk to my Motorcycle.
Yes! a motorcycle 'cause I can't afford a damn car but I like riding a bike. I don't care if I miss my hair so I put on my helmet and inserted the key into the ignition Starting my Motorcycle, after that, I started to drive to my work which is 5 minutes away from my apartment when I ride my bike.

when I arrived I parked my bike and turned it off as well as taking my helmet off and letting my natural curls fall behind my back as I got off of my ride.
I walked to the elevator and pressed the top floor of the building. I keep checking my watch because seriously, I am a little tad late like 5 minutes late

as soon as I heard the elevator ding, I immediately dragged my feet out of the elevator and went to the information desk

"Uhm, hey, excuse me, I am Y/n and I'm the new secretary for Mr Kim. where should I go to?" I asked the beautiful girl on her chair as she eyed me up and down then rolled her eyes as she stood up and clicked her tongue
"yeah, I will take you to his office. follow me" She flashed me a quick smile before walking ahead with me following behind her back while holding my purse with both of my hands. soon, she stopped walking and stood in front of a big door in which I assumed is the office of the young CEO my boss.

I stood next to the girl then she quickly turned to me

"stand behind me, I want to be the first one he sees, not you" she said so I just stood behind her while cursing her in my head
'who does she think she is anyway?' I watched her as she pressed a button beside the door and spoke

"Sir, your secretary has arrived 7 minutes late" then she quickly let go of the button and soon after, the door automatically opened and there revealed a man in his 20s sitting on a CEO's chair while looking into a lot of papers back and forth

"thank you, Stacy, for bringing Ms Lee. you may go out now" The CEO calmly said, totally not glancing at 'Stacy' which I think made her mad as she stomped her feet quietly out of the room leaving me and Mr Kim alone in the office.

"Y/N right? You may start your work at your office" He said, still looking through his papers while I stood there looking around.

I opened my mouth to speak but he interrupted me by saying, "your office is outside, please see yourself out of my office" finally, He looked at me with those monolid eyes.

"May I ask where exactly is my office?" He took a moment and looked at me as he raised his eyebrow, He then, Clicked on his telephone

"Stacy, bring Ms Y/n to her office, Pronto" then I heard the beep as he un-clicked the button. I stood there while the silence of the room became louder than the bell that has rung once from the door of his office.

"come in" his voice echoes through the office walls as the door opened revealing one smiling Stacy as she walks in front of me

"you summoned me?" she said sweetly at Mr Kim

"Are you dumb? or deaf? I told you to bring Ms Y/s to her office" He said in a sarcastic manner which made me laugh in my head. I quickly pulled myself together and followed Stacy out of the office

soon enough, Stacy showed me my office and explained a few things to me on how I will do my work, like arrange Mr Kim's schedules and answer calls and arrange some papers here and there. after she explained those, she walked out of my office leaving her last few words

"oh Call me Ms Choi from now on, Ms Y/n" and with that, she left the Office

I roamed my Office and sat down in my chair. In all my years of working as a secretary, I never had such an amazing office and I loved it.

hours of arranging papers I got a call from the Main Office, which is Mr Kim's Office

"Yes? You called Mr Kim?" I quickly answered

"Do I have meetings for this evening?" I looked through his schedule thoroughly

"Yes, you have one meeting with the Administrative Coordinators about-"

"Please clear my schedule for this evening. and move it for tomorrow Afternoon. I have some work to do outside the Office" He said after he cut me off

"Yes, I will. Have a good evening Sir" I softly said as the beep rung on the line.

2 weeks later

I was able to adjust properly in the company, a few guests here and there and more interactions between me and Mr Kim.

My work became a secretary indeed, Running there and here just to order his morning coffee and bread as well as his lunch.

I returned home after a long day at work. I prepared dinner and took a bath, after that, I plopped down my bed

as I was about to close my eyes, I heard my doorbell ring three times in a row so I stood up and walked to the door

"Yes, yes, I am coming. Please, wait" I opened my door only to find myself on the floor while a heavy body trapped me, making me unable to breathe and move, soon enough I heard a man growl and the smell of alcohol lingered in my nose. I tried to move a little while trying not to panic about the fact that a man is strangling me on the floor, while he reeks of alcohol

"Stacy~" soon enough the man spoke, which caused my eyes to widen

"Mr Kim!?"
