He suddenly felt very cold. If the clan decided not to keep him, what would happen to him? At best, he would be thrown out on the streets, outed and vulnerable to being picked up again by people similar to who he had been with before. Possibly, if that was to happen, he could convince them to let him stay with them until he found someone safe to work with. He had given them no reason to be cruel after all.

But he did owe them a debt now, and they could decide how he would pay it. The worst opinion, if they choose not to keep him, would be them auctioning him off. Though he wouldn't help but feel that Marc would make sure he was safe.

He sat back down on the bed, curling up under the covers. Ignoring how his injuries began to hurt. He was used to some pain by now. He suddenly felt ill again.

There was a knock at the door and it swung open. Hands pulling the blanket off him, before arms hugged him tightly. "Jae," A familiar voice murmured, "Found you."

"Took you long enough," Jae grumbled, but he relaxed into the hold. Marc's grip tightened, a tremble going through Marc. Jae gripped Marc's hands where they were holding him. Feeling a bubble of emotions in him at that moment.

They stayed like that until a cough at the door made them shift. Jae looked up to see a vampire called Lord Colin standing there, a stern expression on his face as normal. Lord Colin was a vampire. It was the coven's quartermaster. Or rather a jail master. It was his job to keep track of all the people, human or otherwise, under their first century and make sure they had a room within the coven's walls. The vampire was a court member though and though. He rarely if ever left the house.

"Jacob," he greeted, walking in calmly and over to the wardrobe. "It is good to see you in one piece." He commented as he opened the doors.

"It's good to see you too Lord Colin," Jae commented, not bothering to ask the man to call him Jae like most people did. Colin and most of the court vampires he had come into contact with had always referred to him as Jacob. It was a manners thing. Jae had always said that his friends called him Jae. They weren't his friends.

Colin frowned looking at him. "I doubt that," he commented, "I am not someone you have ever wished to see in any circumstances."

"You are not someone who would cause me pain," Jae retorted, feeling even more uncertain about how he should act after that statement. Even more proof that Colin did not view him as anything more than a nuisance, "Unless you have changed your stance?" he asked, shifting more into Marc's arms. He was safe there. Marc would never hurt him, or let someone else hurt him.

"No," Colin shook his head, feeling slightly foolish as the reason hit in, "Forgive my statement I realise," He paused, "I may be more accustomed to humans that some of my brethren but motives do sometimes evade me." Colin's stance revealing he was more than just a little embarrassed that it hadn't occurred to him that any face which Jae knew would not hurt him without due reason would be a welcome change from the constant abuse he had suffered over his months in captivity.

"It is forgiven," Jae acknowledged, remembering his own lessons about vampires and their culture. To not acknowledge an apology, either favourably or unsavoury was seen as a major insult. "I accept this isn't a normal situation for you to deal with."

"No, it isn't," Colin locked the doors again, placing an outfit on the chair next to his desk before moving over to him. Colin's manicured hands taking Jae's before kissing his wrist.

Jae blinking at the action. That. That was a sign of familiarity and affection he had not expected from the quartermaster. Marc purring, letting him know it was a good thing, despite the unusualness of it.
