A week later I was finally discharged for the hospital and I basked in the freedom for a couple of seconds. As Sakura drove me home, I thought about the life I might have had, had I met my soulmate and told them the special words.
When we reached the house I spent the last of my days hanging out with Sakura and Alex playing games. I no longer had any desire to injure myself, knowing when I was going to leave the world really gave a perspective to me that I would have never seen any other way. Every day was new and I spent it with people who I had never really appreciated.
I tried to make memories that would last forever, so that they wouldn't miss me. Everything I did over those forty two days was done to make it easier for Sakura and Alex to let me go.
Zelk's Pov
I knew that I would only have until my birthday to live so I said a goodbye to everyone I knew. I thanked everyone that had made my life as special as it was, my parents, Zak, Tehneon, and many more.
When it was finally time to say goodbye, I was at my parents' house and both of them held my hand as I passed to the beyond.
