My eyes shot open, my breath hitched. I let go of the tight grasp I held on my bed sheets, as I just woke up from one of the worst nightmares ever. I'm not sure if it even counts as a nightmare, it wasn't like it was terrifying, but it was scary, and not in a horror movie way.
I was running through endless hallways searching for an escape, but there was none. It was dark and cold and it felt so real. Dreams do mean something spiritually, but I couldn't be bothered to try and research whatever the hell it meant.
I looked over at the clock, 9:30 AM. Okay, I guess that it's not that early. I got up from my bed and made my way to my closet, pulling out a simple comfortable outfit. I walked into the bathroom and so my day started. I showered, brushed my teeth, and changed.
When I finished my routine I tossed the dirty clothes into a basket by my closet then turned on TV. I layed down, but as I did, my phone rang. I let out an annoyed groan then answered without looking at the contact name.
"Hello?" I said
Then I heard it, the most annoyingly american voice ever. It was my best friend, Schlatt (Johnathan), calling me at 10 am for who knows what.
"Hey, Y/N! You busy?" He asked, I heard clicking noised in the background probably coming from his computer.
"Nah, not really. What's up?" I responded, looking through Netflix.
"You down to play Minecraft with me and some of friends? I'm starting to get more into the game but I might need some of your friendly help." I heard the smile in his voice, and how could I say no?
"That sounds fun, what friends though? I doubt I've met any of them." I turned off the TV then walked to my desk.
"Just some of my streaming friends, I added you to our Discord group chat. Join VC with them, see ya!"
"See ya!" I repeated, curious to know what his friends are like.
I looked at the member list and recognized some names, I know Tommyinnit of course, he's a popular streamer- and I know Tubbo, Tommy's best friend(?) But, that was about it.
I joined the vc, it felt like I was interrupting something because there was just loud screaming and I couldn't figure out what anybody was saying.
"Guys," Schlatt said, which could barely be heard over the yelling.
"GUYS" Schlatt screamed, everybody got quiet.
"Everybody please say hi to my friend, and make them feel welcome. This is Y/N!" He said.
I felt my skin heat up, I never liked being the center of attention. I just smiled and nodded as everyone greeted me.
"Can we play Bedwars now?" Tommy asked.
And we did just that.
We played against eachother with two teams of four.
I was partnered with some people I've never met before on the green team. I was with Quackity, Nihachu, and Sapnap. Schlatt was on the blue team with Tommy, Dream, and Tubbo.
The first game started off good, our team won and over time the awkward feeling was gone and it felt like we were all best friends.
"We should try and get a winning streak." I spoke, while putting wool around our bed. Quackity helped me place blocks around our bed, "We have to be extra careful then." He responded. I agreed with him as the round started getting serious.
We won for the second time in a row, but by the third time we lost. "HAHA WE RUINED YOUR STREAK HAHA" Tommy laughed while making his mic, loud, like REALLY loud. "Tommy, I don't know why your laughing when Niki kept killing you everytime you went to their base." Sapnap teased.
Tommy started talking again, "Sapnap you literally fell into the void while trying to bridge 3 times in a row so shut up."
The game continued with constant funny teasing remarks, Schlatt's team ended up winning with the most wins.
"Thanks you guys for letting me join, I really apperciate it." I said to everyone on VC, as the game came to an end. "It was fun playing with you!" Quackity said. "Yeah! I liked how you kept screaming when Sap killed you!" Niki laughed.
We parted our ways and that was that, I didn't have much to do after so I just binge watched Heartstopper for the rest of the day.
His friends seem cool.
