"Walk fast, don't look at anyone, and hold on to me the whole way back to the car," Jungkook orders.

It was that same voice before he used back when he first came to her house. The one where it was cold, demanding and meant business.

She held onto his hand tightly as they walked out of the dressing room with their heads down, going past the oblivious girl as she continued to shove the photo into the cashier's face. His long legs were hard to keep up with and Rosie had to jog a few times, but they eventually made it out of the mall.

Jungkook sped out of the parking lot so fast he left skid marks, driving at an illegal speed to get them back to his uncle's company. Rosie was still crying and as much as Jungkook wanted to comfort her, he needed to get to a safe location first.

When they had parked, Jungkook hopped out and walked to her side. When he opened her door, her legs were pulled tightly to her chest and she was sobbing into them, not even aware that Jungkook reached over and unbuckled her.

"C'mere, baby," he murmurs, hoisting her up into his arms before going back to his side.

He sat down and had her straddled on top, leaning the seat back so she could lay down and cry onto his chest. He was afraid she would never stop as he coo'd softly and ran his hand up and down her back, the adrenaline making her brain go haywire.

"Rosie, we're safe," Jungkook says reassuringly. "No one's gonna hurt us now."

"Bad man," she cries, clutching onto Jungkook for dear life. "H-he found me. He sent people after me."

"That bastard is locked away, Rosie, and he did not send anyone" he says firmly.

Jungkook felt awful. For one, he scared her shitless. But he knew if she saw them, they would be in a worse position than now.

But then, there was the fact that Jungkook's life was like this. It was dangerous, and he had many enemies, and maybe... maybe Rosie didn't belong in such a world.

But he was too attached to her, he couldn't let her go now. Not when she's had a taste of his life.

"C'mon, Rosie, look at me."

Rosie sniffles and looks up, leaning into his warm touch as he wiped away her tears. The adrenaline was wearing and with it, her energy.

She was scared and confused and yet, when the ravenette smiled at her, she felt a bit better.

"That's a good girl," he praises, hooking his hands under her armpits to hoist her up even further on his chest. "You were so brave, baby."

"Jungkook," she whimpers, because that's all she could afford to say without spilling into more tears.

"Why don't you take a nap, okay?" he says softly, causing her to nod weakly and snuggle back into his chest.

When he was sure that she had fallen asleep, that's when he began letting his anger ooze out. He sighed in frustration before slowly getting his phone out from his pocket, sending a text to the group to tell them they needed a meeting tonight.

Rosie's phone began to vibrate, and Jungkook blinked in surprise before slipping his fingers into her back pocket to pull out her phone.

"Hey."

"ROSIE, I GOT THE—You're not Rosie."

"No shit. We're in the parking lot. Be quiet, your sister is sleeping."

When Taehyung had reached the car, he was unamused by his sisters and Jungkook's position. He rose a brow towards Jungkook who just held his lips in a firm line, void of any expression just like his uncle.

"So what did you guys do while I was in there?" Taehyung asks quietly.

"Oh, nothing," Jungkook says, pulling the hoodie closer to Rosie's face to hide her tear-stained cheeks. "Just walked around for a bit."

"Well, thanks for getting me the job," Taehyung sighs, relaxing back into his seat.

"I didn't get you the job," Jungkook raises a brow. "All I did was tell him I had a guy who needed one. You're the one who passed his test."

"Wait, you didn't tell him anything about me?"

"Why would I do that?"

Taehyung scoffs and his eyebrows grew together, puzzled by how his uncle knew so much about him. Unless...

"He did a fucking background check on me?" Taehyung whisper shouts.

"Ah~," Jungkook grins. "Gotta love Uncle J."
