As the trio walked out of the station, one of the cops suddenly shivered.

"What's wrong, James?" the female cop laughs.

"That cousin of theirs is creepy," he tsks. "Did you see his eyes? It felt like they were piercing into my soul."

"Grow a pair, Lee," the other cop grunts. "C'mon, we have bigger cases to deal with than a few reckless teens."

"Are you FREAKING kidding me, Kim Taehyung?"

Jungkook grins and watches in amusement as a fuming Rosie swats at her brother, the elder holding his hands up in defense from her slaps. The ravenette couldn't help but think how good she looked when she was mad, resting back against the car with a small smirk.

"Okay! Okay—OW! Rosie, I'm sorry!"

"I was so worried!" she exclaims, folding her arms over her chest. "How long have you been doing this?"

"Later," Taheyung says, looking at Jungkook.

"He can hear too," Rosie frowns.

"I said later, Rosie," Taehyung says more sternly, causing her to step back and gulp.

"Don't fucking talk to her like that," Jungkook growls, the back of Rosie's head meeting his built chest as he stepped forward.

"You're not involved in this," Taehyung snaps.

"I helped your sister go to the police station to collect your ass from a cell, so yeah, I am involved," Jungkook says coldly.

"Let's just go inside," Rosie mutters, storming past the two men and slamming the door open.

The fact that Taehyuhng went behind her back and lied is what was fueling most of Rosie's anger. That, and the fear that Taehyung was mixing himself with the wrong crowd. She already lost her parents, she didn't need to lose her brother too.

The three of them sat at the dining table, Jungkook beside Rosie and Taehyung parallel to them. It was silent for a while before Taehyung decided to speak up.

"I'm struggling with the bills," he admits quietly. "At first, I was only going to do it a couple times here and there, y'know, just so we could keep afloat. But then I thought about what you and I could do if we get more money. The things we could buy, the places we could go..."

"Taehyung," Rosie's eyes were filling with tears and she forced the lump in her throat down. "Why are you trying so hard to buy that stuff? You know I don't care about it."

"We've never had a good life, Rosie," he says softly. "I just—I thought I could get one for us."

"We don't need money to have a good life!" she exclaims, standing up abruptly. "It's not even the fact that you went and did something illegally for money, but that you lied to me, Taehyung."

"I know," he nods weakly. "I'm sorry."

"I just-," she sighs, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry, Jungkook, but I need to go. Thank you for the ride."

With that, she spun around on her heels and stormed to her room, sitting down on her bed with an aggravated huff. Her fingers carded through her hair and she pulled at the roots in frustration, the tears finally falling from her eyes.

She understood that her brother had good intentions, but what he did was wrong. It was stupid and it only hurt both of them in the process towards an unreachable dream.

"Well," Jungkook stands and opens the fridge, grabbing two beers.

He sat back down and slid one over to Taehyung, cracking the top of his before taking a generous sip.

"Alright, what's the deal, Taehyung?"

"You don't understand," the elder mumbles.

"Don't understand?" Jungkook scoffs out a humorless laugh and pokes his tongue through his cheek. "Don't test me right now, Kim. You're in no position to."

Taehyung slumps in defeat and grabs his beer, cracking it open. He looked pathetic, and that's exactly how he felt.

"What's really going on, Taehyung?" the ravenette asks, sitting back and folding his arms. "This is something deeper, isn't it?"

"How much has Rosie told you about our past?" Taehyung asks hesitantly.

"She doesn't talk about it."

"Yeah, you better hold on to your sanity, Jungkook. What I'm about to tell you isn't pretty."
