"What's wrong, Chim?" Jungkook frowns.

"He was lying," Jimin says quietly. "Taehyung, I mean."

Jimin always knew when someone was lying, Jungkook never doubted his ability. So when he made such a claim, his brain started running with possibilities.

"Let's keep this between us for now, okay? It's her birthday," Jungkook sighs, running a hand through his hair. "He could've just had an errand he didn't want to worry her about."

"Do you want me to do a follow?"

"Maybe. We'll talk about it more at the warehouse."

"Minnie?" Rosie whines from the stairs in her pajamas, causing Jungkook's eyebrow to raise.

"Minnie?" he scoffs.

"Isn't it cute? She made it up," Jimin grins, leaving the scowling ravenette in the kitchen as he went to help her distribute the mountain of sweats in her arms.

"Where are we all sleeping?" Hobi asks.

"Hmm, well two people can sleep here on the couches and two more in Taehyung's room," she says, her cheeks turning red at her next words. "A-and another in my room."

"I'm going to Rosie's room, figure the rest out, boys," Jungkook says quickly, grabbing her hand and heading up the steps.

When the pair went upstairs, she felt her heartbeat quicken. It was just the two of them, in her room, alone.

Wait!" she shrieks as Jungkook reaches behind him and grabs the material of his shirt, lifting it up over his head.

"What? You can look, baby," he laughs at her darkening cheeks. "I don't mind."

Rosie gulps and spins around when Jungkook fumbles with his pants, her heart leaping to her throat when she heard his belt drop. She couldn't believe he was stripping down in her room!

"I'm done, Rosie," he murmurs, startling her as his hand fell to her hip and his naked chest met her back. "I get too hot if I sleep with clothes on."

"Oh," she gulps, turning around slowly.

She couldn't help but let her eyes follow his tattoos. He had a sleeve of various designs traveling up his right arm to his shoulder, and then a clock on the left side of his chest, right above his pec.

"Do you like them?" he asks quietly, and Rosie looks away in embarrassment, nodding shyly.

She climbed into bed and pulled the sheets back for him, and he slipped his arm around her middle as he crawled in beside her. They laid facing one another, Rosie's fingers lightly tracing his tattoos, and it was quiet for awhile before she spoke up.

"Why a clock?" she asks softly.

Jungkook sucks in a breath as he feels her gently trace the ink on his pec, her fingers leaving fire in their wake.

"It's to resemble my time," he says, swallowing thickly. "When I was young, I was thrust into a world that was completely different. I had to grow up faster than everyone else, and sometimes I still feel like a child who's just... lost, I guess. It's to remind me that even when I feel like I'm alone in a different space and time, I still have the chance to find my time."

"Jungkook," Rosie breathes, her fingers stilling and her head craning back to meet his eyes.

They were somewhat sad, and when she searched them, she could see the child he was talking about. The one stuck somewhere between space and time, trying his best to make it through the world as he is now.

"I'm sorry," she whispers, hesitantly raising a hand to brush a curl away from his face.

"It's not your fault," he whispers back.

And then, the room turned silent. So silent, that Jungkook was afraid Rosie could hear his heart pounding against his chest.

But as he looked at her, her worried eyes and soft smile reassuring him that she was there, he found himself leaning down. Their breaths mixed as Jungkook's nose nudged hers slightly, and Rosie's head tilted upward to meet his thin lips in a gentle kiss.

It was, perhaps, the softest kiss Jungkook had ever experienced. Her plump lips had his ears reddening and his pulse quickening, this flustered feeling over a kiss completely foreign to him.

His hand went to the back of her neck and he pushed her deeper into the kiss, swallowing her whimper as his fingers curled into her hair. Her hand nervously slid up to hold the side of his neck as he caught her bottom lip between his teeth, and he watched it snap back into place as he pulled away with dark eyes.

Rosie was breathless, and a bit dizzy, but she was feeling incredibly happy inside. This had to be one of the best days of her life.

"You're blushing," Jungkook teases in a dark rasp, cupping her cheek and stroking his thumb along her bright cheekbone.

Rosie whines and buries her face into his neck, too flustered to say or do anything else. The ravenette simply laughed and pulled her onto his chest as he rolled onto his back.

He stayed awake until he was sure Rosie had fallen asleep, her cheek squished against his pec and her arms on either side of him. He stroked her hair and, without fear of his time ticking away tomorrow, he let his eyes fall into a blissful sleep.
