"You're really out of your mind." her friend exclaimed, napabuntong hininga nalang ito at dahan dahang inilapag sa mesa ang hawak niyang tasa.
Haven decided to visit her girlfriend in her house dahil sa kadahilanang ilang araw narin silang hindi nagkikita nito. Haven is busy and stressed in her current job and she barely comes home sa bahay ng kaniyang tita na si Mangs. Jiyan's apartment is the only thing she know na magpapa-lessen ng stress niya ngunit diyan siya nagkakamali sa puntong 'to.
"I know that's sounds so crazy." ani naman ni Jiyan na nakapamewang habang naghahalo ng niluluto niyang pochero. "Yes it is! It is Jiyan!" sagot nito, she's now stressed AGAIN.
"Sino naman kasing tao ang nasa right state of mind na mantitrip na gawin yun? You know him Ji, hindi yun papayag." pangunguna nito. In Haven's mind she's endlessly cursing her friend over her stupid idea.
Jiyan sighed, she turned off the stove and slowly take off her apron. She knows it was stupid and crazy but that's only the thing she can do right know.
"Only for six-fucking-months Ven, anim na buwan lang naman yun at malay mo, diba?" wika nito, umupo ito sa upuang tapat ng kinauupuan ng kaibigan,she looked at her annoyed friend who's now sipping on the coffee she made.
"Masarap ba?" out of nowhere nitong tanong, still staring at Haven. Kumunot ang noo ng kaibigan dahil sa sobrang random nito ngunit kalaunan tumango lang din ito.
"Malay na ano?" pagbabalik nito sa usapan nilang naudlot dahil sa pagtatanong nito tungkol sa kapeng tinimpla.
"Malay mo mag-work, you know my intention is clear naman hindi ako gagawa ng kalokohan ngayon I swear." she explained. Ilang linggo narin niya kasi 'tong pinag-isipan kung gagawin ba niya ito o kaya naman hindi but she make up her mind now, no one's gonna stop her.
"Bahala ka and please don't call me Ven, you called your jerk cousin Ven too we're not the same."
"Init ng ulo mo kay Pito ah, baka naman pinaglilihian mo na." she jokes.
"Never. And you know what he did to my friend." sagot naman nito.
Haven always having a beef with Seven is just a normal scenario to Jiyan, Haven never told her the updated story about those two — which is Yves and Seven but she knows that her cousin made a mistake to make Haven's blood boil like this.
"Kakain ka pala? Nagluto ako ng pochero, wala naman kakain niyan kaya please kumain ka at wala kang choice kundi kumain."
"Then why did you cook? Mag-isa ka lang naman dito." tanong ni Haven na ngayo'y sumasandok na ng makakain dahil alam niya namang hindi siya makakahindi sa luto ng isang Jiyan Javier.
Jiyan really loves to cook and bake ever since when she was still in her elementary days, despite having a busy schedule now she always makes time para magluto and bake thrice a week or even more. She's currently working as a tutor sa bayan nila kada sabado at linggo. Kada weeknights naman nasa Bar'ce siya working as a bartender. It's been 3 years when she graduated as a Civil Engineer at NPC (Neculte Private College) and passed the board exam last year lang. Ngunit as she said wala pa siyang plano ituloy ang pagiging isang engineer as her carrier right now at mas ginusto nito na kumuha ng certificate and license as a barista and bartender, that's made her the one of bartender in Aling Doni's local bar, Bar'ce.
