A/N: Today I woke up, had a TON of coffee and decided to start tackling the beast: catching our new characters up. This is gonna be an insane task, but we've gotta start somewhere. So this is me starting it lol.

How You Meet

Today was unlike any other day at S.H.I.E.L.D. Today, we were getting someone 'new'. You didn't know much about her, except that Barton had originally been sent to kill her. Except that hadn't happened... because you had ordered him not to do it. You're a great agent and did exceptionally well in the field, but your observational skills were unmatched. So you spent more of your time watching everyone's surroundings from the jet. That day was no different. You had been watching Clint as he was about to let his arrow fly when at the last second, you ordered him to stop and to bring her with us instead. He was confused, but he listened. He handed her off for detainment and stormed over to where you were standing. "Why?" he asked, throwing his hands up in the air. All you could do was shrug. "There's just- something about her." you mused.

Fury had been livid at first but after reviewing her work, he decided keeping her would be worth a shot. So he sent you to offer her an ultimatum. You cracked the door to the holding cell open and walked in without saying a word, placing your files down on the table, "My name is Agent (l/n). But you can call me (y/n) if you'd like." you offered, but she said nothing in response. You grabbed the files and began to flip through them, pretending to be reading them for the first time. "And you are...Natalia Romanova?" you asked her with a raised brow. She sighed and raked her hands through her beautiful red hair. "I don't want to be called that any longer," she admitted. You nodded. "Well. I've been sent to offer you an ultimatum. If you make the right call, I know some people who could help you out with that." you said, and she seemed intrigued by that. "Tell me what it is. The ultimatum," she demanded calmly. "You leave your past behind and start working for S.H.I.E.L.D..." you said trailing off. "Or?" She questioned. "Or Agent Barton gets to finish his mission," you said, and she knew exactly what you were implying.

She stood up from the table ever so gracefully; without even making a sound. "When do I start?" She asked. "Right now. Let's go see about that name change then, shall we?" you asked, leading her out of the room. She stopped for a moment. "Agent (l/n)?" she asked, and you turned around to face her. "I'm Natasha. Nice to meet you." she offered with a small smile. You smiled and beckoned for her to join you. She effortlessly fell into stride with you as you lead her towards her new life at S.H.I.E.L.D

Your First Kiss

Work had been a completely different level of insane today. It seemed like everything that could go wrong, had indeed managed to go wrong. When you were finally able to take a minute to breathe, you were sure to run off to your 'secret hiding spot' where you were confident no one would find you. The only problem with your secret spot was that it wasn't so secret. All anyone would have to do in order to find you was simply lookup. But not too many people at S.H.I.E.L.D were that observant, so they simply never noticed you above them. The lesser-used west training room had exposed ceiling beams in it. The designers had been going for a modern look, but they had also created a great hiding spot for you in the process. They were easy to climb, and even when the room was in use, no one ever figured out that you were up there. Until today.

You heard the doors to the training room open but paid it no attention, confident that no one even knew you were in here. "(y/n?) You in here?" you heard Natasha's voice calling out for you. You decided to remain quiet, not wanting to give your secret spot away. You heard her sigh and drop her hands to her side. "(y/n), its no use. Clint told me you were in here." She yelled, turning in circles trying to figure out where you were hiding. "The bastard just didn't tell me WHERE you were, so help a girl out?" she signed in defeat. You sighed, not being able to take it. "I'm up here," you mumbled from your hiding spot. You laughed as her head whipped up to where you were sitting. "What the hell are you doing up there? Are you related to Clint?" she asked as she climbed up to join you.
