2021!! How time flies UwU

.

Last year, I found this music project called Paradox Live and I don't know why, but it was only this month that I began obsessing over it oTL. Rather than doing more productive things (ahem writing) I mass-edited the fandom wiki.... I think I went through almost every page; first trying to find templates (cos I was completely clueless about html codes), then just being my good ol' perfectionist self, attempting to fix every little detail.

Going in: close to 1% knowledge of how to source edit
Going out: you are at Level O for Okay

The help page for fandom is so "presumptive", I just want to leave. (Or maybe I'm just slow LOL.)

OH RIGHT, what is Paradox Live? Let me save you the trouble of searching it up:

If you've heard of HypMic, ParaLive is a similar concept. However, in terms of setting, storyline and music styles, they are so SO different. I've only heard some songs from HypMic and I honestly did not feel so enthused by what the characters were singing (rapping). Though the setting is quite unique.

In contrast, I've listened to all that ParaLive has to offer. Repeatedly. There are still two more confirmed albums to come out, and I am so excited for them!!! And since HypMic got an anime, manga as well as a game, cross my fingers that ParaLive will have at least one of its storylines animated.

I first discovered ParaLive through one of cozmez's song, by complete accident. I listen to quite a number of Jap songs and one day, this song was on YT's suggest list. I think I clicked on it purely due to the cool-looking cover image (it was a YT recommended video) and I didn't seriously listen to it at all because at that time I was focused on homework. When I did finally check it out, like wondering why this is in my tab history, I was wowed:

1. The song had a mix of Jap and Eng, and the singers did not botch up the English.

2. It had rap and still evokes quite a nostalgic feeling.

3. Looking at the cover image, I was really interested by how homey the characters look. There was also some sort of superiority/contempt over one another.

Of course, at that time I wasn't sure what it was I was seeing or listening to. I thought it was another utaite music. But the comments were very helpful with quite a lot of people also clueless. We were all led to the official site, which I have to say is AWESOME!!! The site's ambience is extremely funky and I felt totally sucked in to the world and hype.

I checked out the wiki for more info on the characters and was super excited that I had a whole new list of music to listen to. Each unit has their own style, and while you may not like the first one you listen to, you may be completely surprised by the next one. (The reverse applies!)

Even if you don't know Japanese, the songs have a fair amount of English in them for their messages to be clear. There are also voice dramas to listen to in which characters from different units interact with each other and you get to find out their personalities, histories and motivations.

.

Well, this is my recent and ongoing fixation. What's yours? I had considered writing a full-on family drama for all the characters, their antagonism, their traumas, and their dreams...... But I don't think I have the skill to go for it yet. It'll be kinda sad if I left someone out.
