Chapter Two: Pranks

Y/N's Pov

While we were at Luke's I finally got the mystery boys name. Jess.

I was walking with Tristan down Stars Hollow.
"So my dad just starts yelling at me, and I'm just sitting there nodding my head," Tristan started.
"What'd you do?" I asked him.
"I don't know, he was just yelling at me, and I was just nodding my head. And then my head started to hurt from all the nodding, and it still hurts," Tristan complained.
"Do you wanna go get some tylenol?" I aksed him.
"Can I?" He asked.
"Go, go," I insisted.
"I'll just be a minute," He told me.
I nodded and he walked inside of Doses. I felt someone touch my waist and I turned around.
"Should you be standing here all alone? I heard this is a pretty dangerous corner, " Jess told me.
"I'm fine, I said wrapping my arms around myself.
"Feeling succinct today?" He asked me.
"Pretty much," I said avoiding eye contact.
"Hm, did I do something to offend?" Jess asked me.
"Me?" I asked.
"Yeah," He responded.
"No," I told him.
"Good," He told me.
"You can ask that same question to Luke though," I said turning towards Jess.
"Meaning?" He asked.
"You've got this whole town down on him," I told him.
"Really? How'd I do that?" Jess asked me.
"You know how you did that," I told him.
"Oh, I'm not familiar with the bluebook laws in this town, seem to talk about a lot of things, dropping your gum rapper, strolling arm and arm with the opposite sex on a Sunday?" He asked. I motioned to the outline of a body on the ground.
"Ahhh, what about it?" He asked while still looking at it.
"You did it, the whole town knows you did it, they had a whole meeting about it," I told him, crossing my arms.
"You actually went to that bizarro town meeting?" He asked.
I looked away then back at him.
"Those things are so.. to kill a mockingbird," He told me.
"Yes, I went, and Luke went, and when he got there everyone ganged up on him, they all wanted you gone," I told him, starting to get a little angry.
"Wow, bummer," Jess told me.
"And he's standing there yelling at everyone and defending you, paying Taylor back for his lettuce losses," I told Jess.
"W-Wait, his what?" Jess asked, looking confused.
"And Luke's a pariah and it's all because of you!" I shouted at him.
He slightly rolled his eyes and glanced down at the ground.
"What a shock, you don't care about any of this," I said once again wrapping my arms around myself.
"I didn't say that," He told me.
"Go, I'm tired of talking to you," I said waving my hand at him.
"Fine," Jess said walking away.
"You care nothing about Luke and his feelings!" I yelled at Jess.
"Got a second win huh?" Jess asked me.
"All he does is stick up for you, and all you do is make his life harder, I guess
that's what you have to do when you're trying to be Holden Caulfield, but I think it stinks!" I snapped.
"Luke has done a lot for my mom, and a lot for me, and I don't like to see him attacked, okay second win," I added.
"Didn't know they were coming down so hard on him," Jess told me.
"Funny, I never pegged you as clueless, my mistake," I said looking away from him.
"Okay, I get it," He told me. I looked weirdly at him.
"No, no, I get it," Jess said to me.
"So, did you at least think it was funny?" He asked me. I smiled.
"That is so not the point," I said looking at him.
"Yeahh, you thought it was funny," Jess said smiling at me.
"I got it," Tristan said walking out.
"Oh, uh, hey," Tristan said to Jess.
"Um, Tristan, I don't think you have met, this is Jess, this is Tristan," I said to Jess.
"Boyfriend?" Jess asked.
"Of course," I told him.
"Sorry, you didn't say, how ya doin?" Jess asked Tristan.
"Good, good," Tristan told Jess.
"See ya around," I told Jess.
"Seems that way, doesn't it?" Jess told me.
He looked at me then walked away. I turned to Tristan and he smiled. We started walking to my house.
"Who was that guy?" Tristan asked me, sounding jealous.
"Are you jealous?" I asked him.
"What? Me? No," He told me.
"It's okay to be jealous," I told him.
"I am not jealous," He told me.
"He's Luke's nephew," I told Tristan.
He nodded. We got to my house. Tristan pulled me in for a quick kiss and pulled back.
"Bye," I told him.
"Bye," He said before walking away.
I smiled to myself and walked inside the house.
"Mom? Rory?" I asked.
Mom came over.
"Hey hon, you hungry?" She asked as we walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah, can we get Chinese?" I asked her.
"Pizza," Rory said walking in.
"How about we just get Chinese, and pizza?" Mom asked.
Me and Rory glanced at each other and nodded. I went to go take a shower and get dressed.

After my shower we got our food and watched a movie and ate.
