JUST SAYING, FOLKS.

THE POINT SYSTEM :

title : 10 pts

- is it creative? unique in some sense or another?

- theme-related?

- how clever is it?

- are the chapters well labelled?

writing style : 15 pts

- do you personally enjoy reading it?

- how good has the author manipulated the theme, settings and innermost feelings and plot?

- descriptions okay?

grammar : 25 pts

check punctuation marks the most.
• make sure the tenses are placed correctly.
• spelling errors have negative marking. cut one mark per chapter.

10 pts : plot

- is time and geography, in regards with pacing, carefully manipulated?

- pacing okay or the sub-plots are just mashed in together?

10 pts : characters

- dynamic?

- relatable?

- their motives add to plot?

- little details about them like clothing,... is it overused?

blurb : 5 pts

- eye catching?

- not too revealing?

- sypnosis given?

15 pts :  book cover

- including graphics, how'd you rate the art?

- is it connected well with the story?

- are there red herrings in aesthetics?

10 pts : academia theme

- well executed?

- has plot elements common with its kind, if not — is it a mistake or genius?

100 pts :              

You've to read 1/3 portion of every book allotted to you.

Total five books per judge.

If you can't commit, don't bother.

Reject bribes. Real talent and hard work is what we're expecting here.

Depending on your judging skills, you can allot extra points if the answer is positive to any of the above.

Authors are not allowed to comment. Anything.

Let me know if participants in your subgenre aren't following you. Or leave a polite message if they're oblivious ones (all awards have those, nothing new).

You've to write up a short review on the winning three's  each so it'd be helpful to note down some speculations.
