Although Inuyasha does not show it, he is very affectionate. He isn't really into PDA but when you're alone he's all over you. Hugging, kissing, cuddling, etc. The only thing he never did with you was hold hands.
You never wanted to bring it up because you knew he was insecure about them. While his hands were rough and scarred from battle, yours were soft and smooth. The difference between your hands made him feel like you would hate holding his hand.
Story time:
You had finally decided to do something about him not holding your hand. One day when you two were walking through the woods, you grabbbed his hand. He began to have a mental freak out about it. He was about to let go of your hand until you looked (down/up) at him and smiled saying "You have really nice hands." After that day he would always hold your hand. In fact, he would grab it whenever he had the chance.
