Amanda Hotchner had officially been apart of the team a month and a half and things were going significantly better this time around. Things were still rocky with Aaron but he was doing his best to try and be a better brother and she appreciated the effort. JJ had gotten to know her and the two had become fast friends with Emily fitting in just as well. Amanda had actually gotten along with Emily the most.

After she revealed that she knew Emily had been apart of a covert mission for Interpol before joining the FBI, Emily had begun to trust her a lot more. The two confided in each other as they were both great at keeping secrets after having to keep so many of their own. This is why Emily was the only person Amanda had told about her late fiancé and her past with Spencer.

Speaking of Spencer, he had been true to his vow and managed to wriggle his way back into Amanda's good graces, quickly making his way back to her best friend, and both of them were happy about it. Even though Spencer's feelings hadn't changed, he knew that Amanda's had and that he had to accept that, so he did his best to act as though he was. Fake it until you make had become his mantra when it came to Amanda.

With the team being as close as they were, they all decided to go to a bar to celebrate the Superbowl despite most of the team not actually caring about the sport. This is how the team found themselves. JJ beating a couple of guys at darts, a slightly tipsy Spencer playing a round of Star Trek trivia with a couple he had just met, Morgan dancing with a group of girls, Amanda dancing with a group of girls and guy, and Hotch, Haley, Emily, and Penelope watching the two of them with laughs.

Eventually, Amanda excuses herself from the crowd she had gathered and makes her way over to the table. "I'm heading to the bathroom, want to come?" She offers, a habit developed after many frat parties in college: never let a friend who had been drinking go anywhere alone.

"I'll come," Emily offers, and the two head over there, Amanda messing with Spencer's hair on the way, turning quickly to shoot him a wink and giggling when a blush forms on his cheeks. The two quickly use the facilities before washing their hands and then Amanda attempts to fix her makeup. Emily looks over at her with a chuckle before her eyes make their way to her cleavage. "Your ring is stuck on your bra," she tells her, making Amanda look down.

Sure enough, while she had been dancing, the ring, which she always wore on a long chain in remembrance of Evan, must've snagged on the lace of her bra. She quickly removes it and places it back below her shirt. "Thanks, babe," she jokes, making Em laugh. "You should come dance with us."

"No thanks. I think I'll stick with watching Morgan make a fool of himself." They both chuckle as they make their way back to the table, Amanda decided to have a conversation with her brother and sister-in-law. They talk about Jack and how he's starting to make words out of his baby chatter. Aaron teases that he's going to teach him to call her Mandy, leading to Amanda hitting him so Haley changes the subject and asks about the BAU before directing the question to Emily.

She answers before Garcia turns the attention to Morgan, prompting the couple to head to the dancefloor as Garcia heads to the bathroom, declining Amanda's offer to go with her. Soon, everyone's fun ends, however, when JJ comes over to tell them that they had a case.

JJ calls Gideon while they head to the FBI building. She presents the case which happened in Atlanta, Georgia. Apparently, a couple had been killed after hosting a Superbowl party at their house. The real kicker: one of the unsubs called the police. They quickly head to the jet, JJ coming with them this time, and begin the flight to Georgia. Hotch gives them all some time to get settled before they present the case so Amanda takes a seat next to Reid and Morgan sits across from them.

"Whatcha reading?" Amanda questions, reaching into her bag and pulling out a blow pop.

"Do you have an unlimited supply of those?" Spencer asks, ignoring her question on account of the fact that Amanda always seems to have some kind of sucker just lying around so she can eat it. He might not notice it so much if it were for the fact that she would always pop it in right after asking him a question as if to ensure his eyes would find their way to her lips, and then all he can think about is her lips wrapped around something far less innocent than a sucker.
