Beula's voice made Jezebel come out of her fantasy world. She closed the book and glanced at Beula.
"It's a crime thriller, Beu. My batchmate gave this."
"Oh good. So you thought to bring back your reading habit."
"Come on Beu. I love to read. You know that I have lots to study. So I couldn't read novels for a couple of months."
"Then what changed your mind suddenly?" asked Beula sitting opposite to Jezebel.
"Daniel is responsible for this."
Beula gave a puzzled look at Jezebel.
"The other day we just asked about our favourite books and authors. I was surprised when he said that his favourites are crime thrillers. Even I also surprised him by telling that I also like crime thrillers more than any other genre."
"Then?" enquired Beula.
"I told him that my academics forced me to pause my reading habit but he insisted me to start again."
"Wow! So nice." said Beula.
"So I decided to find some time to read. And now I got a fantastic book."
Beula took the book and observed everything. She read the author's name and smelled it before handing back to Jezebel.
"Ok, then you continue reading. I am going to take a small nap."
"Not well?" enquired Jezebel.
"Headache."
"Do you want me to massage your head?"
"No Jez. Sleep is the only solution. You resume your work."
Beula went up and Jezebel went back to reading. Minutes later, her phone rang which startled her. A smile appeared on her face when she saw the name of the person calling.
"Hey, buddy. What's up?"
"Jezebel are you free now?" asked Daniel.
Jezebel checked the time.
"Yeah. Now I am reading a book but tell me."
"Can you come to our meeting place?"
"Where? You mean the playground?"
"Yes, Jez. I want to show you one thing. If you are free now come fast."
Jezebel thought for a second and checked the time again.
"Ok, Daniel. I will inform Beu and come."
"Ok then bye."
Jezebel rushed to Beula's room. She informed her about going out to meet Daniel. Beula agreed and Jezebel left her house immediately.

"Daniel what's the matter?" asked Jezebel after occupying herself on the bench.
"I want to introduce you to a new friend. I mean this friend is going to be a part of your life from now on."
Jezebel was puzzled. Daniel smiled and extended the carry bag he was holding. Jezebel took out a gift from it. She unwrapped the gift paper and stared at it.
