Chapter 13: New Me

"Please."

"Oh, uh, o-okay...?"

"Great, let's get started.."

"W-what? H-here? Now?"

"Where else are we supposed to do this?"

"Ah..."

Jane stood up from the bed and faced Selena who is staring blankly at her. Jane felt someone holding her hand. She turned around and saw Lily looking up at her.

"Why do you need to become a man? You are fine the way you are sister."

She then felt another hand touching her other hand and saw Josh holding it.

"She's right, you're already pretty."

Jane smiled at them and answered.

"I have my reasons. And besides, even if I become a man or a woman, I'm still me right?"

The children slowly nodded and let go of my hand. I then looked at Spencer who is looking at me like I was some sort of crazy psychopath.

Jane grinned at him and Spencer frowned. Jane then looked at Selena. Selena regained her composure and held her two hands. She then started to speak.

"By the blessing and permission of the God of Light. I shall grant the wish of this person in front of me."

Light started to surround Jane's body. The children stepped back and squinted their eyes at the blinding light surrounding Jane's body. The light was so strong that all the children could see was gold.

They noticed the light slowly started to disappear and regained their vision. After that, they then looked at Jane. The children gasp in unison at the new sight in front of them.

"Wow!"

They no longer saw the thin and short Jane but instead saw a tall, handsome Jane. His body became larger and wider and more masculine than before. His long, and shiny silver hair sparkled under the sun and his sharper eyes looked at his hands. He then sighed and brushed back his hair.

"....So, this is what it feels like to be a man? I feel normal."

The people in the room had their jaws dropped while looking at Jane who is looking at his new body.

"Holy shit..."

Jane stopped checking out his new body and looked at Selena with surprise. Selena noticed his gaze and covered her mouth. Jane then heard Lily and Jessa's voice full of admiration.

"How handsome."

"Sister, no, Big Brother can I marry you in the future?"

Jane looked at Jessa with surprise and then patted her head.

"Am I really that handsome? You're not toying with me right?"

Jane felt weird by his new deep voice but slowly started to get used to it. He then saw Jessa shaking her head while looking at him with red cheeks

"No! Brother is really handsome! More handsome than brother Spencer!"

"...Excuse me?"

Spencer looked at his sister with a shocked expression while looking as if he was offended. Jane almost laughed but managed to hold it in. He now heard the silent Nash's voice in his head.

• You look good, I like it.

Jane is now finally convinced that he really looked good. He then looked around to try and find a mirror but he can't see one. He heard Spencer's sigh and a full body mirror made from magic suddenly appeared in front of him.
