"Y/n!!" I heard Lillian yelled, I was still out in the garden
"Coming!" I yelled back, I swam over to where Lillian was
"Whatcha need?" I asked her
"Nathaniel would like to hang out with you in the library" Lillian said, we where walking down the halls
"Ok" I said
"I will escort you there" Lillian said
"Ok, but your supposed to be Nathaniels person guard, why would you come and get me?" I asked we where in the hallway where the library was
"He wanted me to make sure your safe, he cares a lot about you Y/n, maybe a crush?" Lillian said while she opened the door to library my cheeks flushed red and I swam in with Lillian
"BOO!" Nathaniel said scaring Lillian
"GAH!" Lillian yelped I giggled
"Y/n, thank you for coming here" Nathaniel said
"I don't think I had a choice but I would have came anyway" I said, I sat down on the comfy chair and grabbed a book
"I will guard the front to make sure you both are safe, I won't come in until granted" Lillian said and swam back out the door shutting it
"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked
"I just wanted to see how your feeling about this" he said
"About what?" I asked, he pulled a wooden stool and sat next to me
"About living in a fortress" he said
"It's nice, I do like how big the garden is, I don't think it's not bad, it would be a nice place to grow up but it would be horrible to clean by yourself" I said
"Yea, I had to clean up most of the fortress as a kid, it was horrible, but I did find out a few secret spots, they are my hide outs" Nathaniel said
"Why tell me?" I asked
"Because your my friend" he said
"Aww thanks" I said while patting his head, he looked away with red in his cheeks
'Aww, cute...' I thought
"Anyway, you will be going to the eastern fortress tomorrow, we have got someone to take you there" he said while picking up a book
"Aww, ok, I wonder what it will look like..." I said
"It's in good condition, maids that worked for your farther had daughter or sons and have been cleaning it everyday waiting for someone to arrive" he said he went through the book he was holding
"Why?, do they get paid??" I asked
"Their generation has been taking care of the fortress since it was built, they wouldn't want to destroy the way things went, they don't get paid, they do it for fun" he said and put done the book onto a side table
"Why would they think that is fun?" I asked
"Well people have many interests and cleaning is fun for some people" he said
"Oh ok" I said
"Now what book are you reading?" He said, he spun in his chair so he was upside down
"Oh this is about powers, apparently there are these gems around the ocean that gives a mer power of some sort, but hey, it's probably a myth" I said
"Hm, ok, well, we should go see your new room" he said me eyes lit up
"ITS DONE?" I yelled out, I immediately Jumped out of the seat and started jumping
"Y-yea, it's the main reason I wanted to talk to you" he said, he got out of his chair and swam over to the door and I followed
When you get to your room
"Ok, you ready?" He asked
"Yeeeeee!!!" I said, he put a hand over my eyes and he opened the door and we swam in and the smell of cookies and flowers flooded me, I loved it
"Ok! You can open your eyes!" Nathaniel said, he took away his hand and I opened my eyes, my walls where blue geographic triangle walls except for the one behind my bed it was just blue with a huge blossom tree in it with pink flowers and petals falling, there was a shelf that had a bunch of flowers and cookies on it there was a chandelier that has water droplets and diamonds and there was a the seat in the window! It has fluffy pillows and 2 stuffed animals, my bed was a nice double bed that had green and blue patterns bed covers with fluffy pillows, I swam over to the bed and laid down, its memory foam bed
"I LOVE IT!!" I said spreading my arms out in the bed
"Great!" Nathaniel said he swam over to the dumped out and sat down, I got off the bed and swam over to a cupboard it's got pink blossoms all over and there was a glass sea bunny, I opened a draw and it was full so try new clothes
"This is perfect!" I said
"Just wait til you get to design every room in your fortress" Nathaniel said
"Ooooh!, I wonder what I could do!!" I said
"Who knows..." Nathaniel said
