CHAPTER 24

Nanlaki ang mga mata niya at agad na naglahad ng kamay. "I'm a fan!" Wika niya.

Bahagya akong napangiti. "Hi, you are?" I asked.

Based on my judgement, she's a model.

Long legged woman like her and beautiful heart shaped face, pointed nose and long blond hair? No doubt.

"I'm Foxi Herrera."

"Trainee sa HAL, I heard a lot about you and honestly, you're one of my inspiration sa pag mo'modeling." She said, still not letting go of my hands.

I intertwine my hands with her and smile widely. "Mind if you'll accompany me?" I said.

"OO NAMAN! It'll be my pleasure." she said, laughing.

Some of my friends went to us and talk a lot about random stuffs.

Some were asking questions about me and if by any change I'll be able to get back on modeling again.

I answer them like how artist answer random interviews and laugh it all out, professionally.

"How about your relationship with Shawn Salazar?" Natahimik kaming lahat.

"I-I mean! W-Well, you know. It's all over social media sites." pagpapatuloy ng isang babaeng kausap ko na katabi ni Foxi.

"Sorry for asking. I'm just confused kasi some says he's obviously cheating on you and some says break na raw kayo. What's the truth?" Dagdag niya pa.

I stayed silent while everyone seems to be waiting for my answer.

I smile proudly at them. "We broke up three months ago." I said cooly.

Umasta ako na para bang wala lang yun sa akin kahit na may nagbabara na mabigat na bagay sa dibdib ko.

I sip on my mango juice and ignore everyone's sympathetic stares.

"Napakasakit~" I glance at Desire who suddenly came out of nowhere and ate the cake that's on my plate.

Ginagawa niya yon habang tinitignan ako na nakataas baba ang kanyang mga kilay.

Napailing nalang ako at tinignan ang lalakeng nasa likod niya, nakabantay.

'Sanaol.'

"Kiss mo nalang ako dali." Wika ni Desire habang nakapout sa harap ko, natawa ako.

"Dun ka magpahalik oh." I pointed Jeremiah.

Napalingon siya kay Jeremiah at biglang ngumiti ng napaka lawak.

"Fubby where's my wampipti?!" She said, laughing.

I laughed so hard at what she said. "Baliw ka!" sabi ko sa kanya.

"Girls. I'm sorry but we really have to go, she's not in her right mind anymore." Jeremiah apologize to us before he went to his wife and carried her in a bridal way.

By next week pupunta sa Manila ang dalawang yon dahil mag ho'honeymoon sipa sa pang-anim na beses.

On my way home, napatingin ako sa kalangitan. I some constellations shinning. I decided to stop by the seaside.

Hinubad ko ang heels ko at hinayaan ang nakalugay kong buhok na sinasayaw ng hanging dala ng malakas na alon.

I sat on the sand and watch the night sky.

Tinukod ko sa gilid ang mga kamay ko para makapag pahinga.

In this chaotic world, there's always a latibule. A latibule where I can just be myself without doing anything.

Just like what I am doing now.

I connected the constellations gamit ang isang daliri ko.

"Taurus...."

"Aquila...."

"Ursa minor...." 

"Gemini..."

"Gemini..."

Agad akong napatingin sa kung sino man ang nagsalita sa likuran ko.

"Kane?"

My eyes widen when I recognize the man standing in front of me.

Tipid siyang ngumiti.

"May I sit?" He asks me.

Hindi agad nag proseso sa akin ang nakikita ko. Nang makabawi ay tumango ako sa kanya.

"What are you doing here? Are you following me?"

"Don't be assuming miss. I went here because I have something to do with my father's business." He said.

I roll my eyes. "Business. Of course."

"But. Yeah, I saw your car earlier and I decided to follow you." He chuckle.

"So you are stalking me." I concluded.

"Whatever you call it. So, you like constellations too?" He asks me.

Nilingon ko siya and I saw him looking above the sky.

Tumango ako at nag buntong hininga. "Yeah, I do."

Binalik ko ang tingin ko sa kalangitan.

"I love constellations too." He said.

Who would not love stars and moon anyway.

"Madalas ay sa batangas o tagaytay ako nag s'star gazing dati."

"I also do this before sa Israel but hindi gaano dahil I really have a hectic schedule." kwento niya.

I stayed silent kaya napatingin siya sa akin.

"What is your favorite constellation?" He asks me.

"Orion." sagot ko.

"Mine is Crux." He said.

"Why?" I asked him.

That's rare. Only few people recognize Crux as a constellation because of how small it is.

"Kasi kahit siya ang pinakamaliit na constellation, kahit hindi siya masyadong na a'appreciate ng ibang mga tao,"

"Crux never failed to make me realize that we can become beautifully unique by embracing who we are and what we are." He said, not taking his eyes off the night sky.

I smile at him.

I didn't knew na may gantong side si Kane. I mean. Well, I shouldn't have judged him based on his physically image and aura.

"Yeah yeah, you should be sorry to me you know." He said, na para bang naririnig niya ang sinasabi ng utak ko.

Umiwas ako ng tingin.

"What do you mean?" I asks him na para bang wala akong alam sa tinutukoy niya.

He laugh at me before he stood up at pinagpagan ang kanyang sarili.

"Penelope. One day, I'll be Aquila, someone's gonna be Zeus and you'll be Earth." he winked at me before walking away, waving his hand on me.

'He's gonna be aquila?' I asks myself, naguguluhan sa pinagsasabi niya.

I sigh in the end at muling napatingin sa kalawakan.

That Salazar is really, really weird.

Hindi kalaunan ay napag pasyahan kong umuwi na rin dahil lumalalim at lumalamig na ang gabi.
