Ch. 66 - RAW TALENT

Its was quite for a moment until Stilinski spoke up, "You got anything you wanna add?" He asked and the girls glanced at Scott. "Yeah... I don't think it was just any bullet." Scott said and Parrish crouches down and looks at the body with a worrisome frown. 

"I hope not."

Malia, Lydia, Odette and Scott pull up to the house and Scott take off his seat belt to leave when Lydia spoke up. "Why didn't you say anything?" She asked making Scott's eyes widen for a moment, "Why didn't you say anything?" He said and Malia turned to them.. 

"Wait, was I supposed to say something?" She asked and Odette sighed slightly and shook her head. "None of us said anything because of Chris, and none of us are going to say anything until we talk to him. I'd rather my uncle not go to jail for something he possibly didn't do." Odette said and Scott nodded, "Everybody good with that?" He asked and the girls glanced at each other before nodding. 

"As long as we talk to Argent soon." Lydia said and Odette nodded slowly, "Premonition?" She asked and Lydia nodded.  "Yeah. The one with the screaming, and people killing each other?" 

"First we find Argent."

"So, his wrist is sprained." Odette started as she started to wrap a bandage around a little kids arm, "So just, keep this bandage on, if it hurts of you see any swelling then ice it and from there just rest and elevate for at least a couple days." Odette said before stepping away and the kids and his mother smiled at her. 

"Thank you Odette." The boy said and the mother smiled at her making her smile before they walked away. Melissa walked up to Odette with a proud smile, "You're gonna be a really good nurse." Melissa said making Odette smile as they started walking, "I guess it does kind of help that my powers do make me instantly know what wrong with someone." She said and Melissa chuckled and nodded. 

"At least you're not accidentally healing anyone anymore." Melissa said before laughing when Odette groaned dramatically. "It was one time and I stopped before he was fully healed. No one even noticed." She said and Melissa went to say something but Odette's phone started ringing making her pull it out to see Lydia calling her. "Go on." Melissa said making Odette look at her, "That is probably something important that you need to go do. I think you're done for the day." Melissa said and Odette smiled at her before mouthing a thank you as she answered her phone. 

"Oui." Odette said when she answered it, "Are you busy right now?" Lydia asked over the phone. "Melissa just said I could leave, so no. What's wrong?" Odette asked and Lydia sighed in relief, "I'm sitting outside." She said before handing up. Odette sighed softly before quickly running outside to see Lydia car and instantly ran over to her. 

"So what's going on?" Odette asked as she climbed into the car, "Parrish went to Eichen house for me to help figure out my premonition and I think he's in trouble." Lydia said and Odette nodded slowly. "So now you have to go save your boyfriend from the evil nut house and you wanted me to come so you're not alone?" Odette asked and Lydia nodded. 

"Alright, let's go."

Lydia and Odette pull up to Eichen and get out the car. Lydia hesitates for a moment as she looked up at the gate but Odette grabbed her hand and gave her a comforting smile before they walk through. 

Somehow, they managed to sneak into the closed unit where they find the gate wide opened. They slowly walked over to it and Odette pushes it open wide, "Hello?" Lydia called out but no body answered making them glance at each other as they walked into the hall. 

Suddenly, a clanging sound making them both jump and turn, they looks back and sees the gate closed by itself. Lydia squeezed Odette's arm before they started walking again. Lydia jumps again slightly making Odette look over at her to see her looking completely terrified about being back in Eichen. "J-Jordan?" Lydia called out and Odette squeezed her hand. 

All of the sudden Lydia, panics and runs back to the gate and tries to open it but it seems locked as her heartbeat rate rises. "Hello? Hello?" She yelled as Odette ran up to her. "Lyds." Odette said calmly as she gently grabbed Lydia's arms making her turn to her, "Hey, breathe." She said and Lydia took a deep breath. 

"I'm here with you and I wont let anything happen to you. I promise. We're gonna find Parrish and out of here, you'll never have to come back here again." Odette said and Lydia nodded slightly as she focused on her breathing. Lydia calms down for a second before she suddenly flinched slightly. 

"Hear something?" Odette asked and Lydia nodded before sucking in a deep breath, "He's close." She said and Odette nodded. "Ready?" Odette asked holding her hand out and Lydia closed her eyes and took a deep breath before nodded, "Let's go." She said, grabbing Odette's hand before walking. 

"I can't be afraid anymore." They heard Dr. Fenris say as they walked up to a room to see him pointing a gun at a semi frozen Parrish. Lydia thrusts her hands forward and lets out a loud scream making Dr. Fenris go flying back toward the wall he falls to the ground, knocked out. Odette glanced around before noticing the thermostat and turned it up making warm air flow through the vents. 

Odette walked over to Dr. Fenris while Lydia ran over to Parrish. Odette glanced around before pulling of Dr. Fenris' keys and key cards from his belt before starting up and walking over to Lydia and Parrish. They helped him up and out the door before Odette turned back and shut the door. She turned the lock enough until she her a small snap and nodded in satisfaction, "What did you just do?" Lydia asked and Odette looked at her and shrugged slightly. 

"Broke the lock enough to where the only way to get him out is to cut through the door." She said then held up his keys and key cards, "I'm taking these incase we need them in the future."

Scott, Malia, Odette and Lydia gather around in the kitchen, where Lydia had just explained every Dr. Fenris did at Eichen. "He killed every supernatural in the Closed Unit? All of them?" Scott asked and they nodded, "He said he couldn't see it any other way." Lydia said. 

"Well, I've got another way. You don't kill everyone." Malia said sarcastically making Odette squint at her before sighing softly, "He was terrified. I could smell it." She said and Scott turned around to face them. "The wolves, the rats. It keeps coming back to the same thing, fear." He said and Malia frowned in confusion, "But what is everyone afraid of?" 

Scott thinks for a moment until he sets the bullet's slug on the kitchen table, "Us. We don't know what fear would do to somebody. I mean, it can change them. They'll look at us differently. They'll do things that they've never done before." Scott said. "People can be so stupid." Malia said and Odette sighed and shook her head, "They're not stupid, they're scared." She said and Scott nodded. 

"And scared people will do things that you wouldn't believe."
