You can be wrong MOST of the time, and still get paid. And get to be on TV announcing the weather, and telling everyone else what their Monday morning is going to be like as they commute to work - NOT.
In any other job, if you screw up a couple of times in a row, you're out. Replaced by someone who actually does the job.
In telling me that I will have 2-3" of snow, or 11-15", you can be as wrong as you like, and I have no recourse.
It is like being lied to over and over by a lover.
