Unexpected

Chapter 31

-Lucero's POV-

I jump on the bed and groan. 

"so tired" I say to myself. Weeks of practice now and I've improved a lot. I still haven't told Karmen that I healed someone. I don't feel like it is the right thing to do, she might get mad for me doing it. 

*knock knock*

"Come in" I say loudly. Evan steps in and I sit up. He sit next to me on the bed. We aren't really close, but at the same time we are very comfortable around each other. 

"What's up?" I ask him.

"Nothing, was bored" He mutters.

"I am not here to entertain you" I say back with a joking smile. He laughs. He seems very uneasy though.

"Tell me, what's up?" 

" I don't know I'm just feeling alone." He says. I nod understanding. His mother died 5 years ago when he was 20, he never met his father and he has no siblings.

"I know how you feel, we just have to take it one step at a time and try to find happiness in the smallest things" I tell him as a stand up to get a tissue. 

I hand the tissue to him and he cleans the falling tears. I rub his back trying to comfort him. After about 5 minutes he calm down and there is a knock on the door. I get up from the bed and walk to my bedroom door. Its a maid. 

"Hello, sorry to disturb you Miss, but Karmen wants you and Evan to go out to the garden." She informs me and I nod. She leaves.

I hug my body as I step out to the garden. I feel uneasy, nervous, and anxious. Why would that be?

" You called?" I yell out once I see Karmen by the roses. She lightly touches a petal, still not turning towards Evan and I. 

Once she turns around interwines both her hands and walks towards us with a nervous smile. The sound of her heels hitting the floor adds up to my anxiety. I look at her catiously, her dark makeup making her brown eyes show more. 

"Have any of you told anybody about where you two have been?" she asks with an angry tone. 

I shake my head aswell does Evan. 

"Well clearly, someone found out and they want to talk to you" Karmen says looking straight at me. She turns her body slighty and waves her hand, commanding someone to come. 

I look over her shoulder and my stomach drops. 

Why are they here?

"Sarah, Elijah,RoseEl,Percy" I say in shock. Xander comes after all of them. I make eye contact with him and my heart flutters and my body gets shivers all around. I can tell he feels the same thing because he shivers too. I start walking towards him. A hand grabs my forearm harshly and pulls me back. 

"Karmen let go" I say angrily. 

Soldiers come and grab each one of them and ties up their hands and feet. They try to fight it but these soldiers are very stong. 

"Let me go!" I hear Xander scream in a powerful tone that makes me jump in surprise. Is that his Alpha tone? 

Evan and I get tied by the hands,too.

Karmen walks to the center of the graden where all my friends are. 

"We need to fight back" I hear Evan say in my head. I turn to him. I thought only mates and betas of the alpha could do that.

" There are lots of things that Karmen doesn't know we can do. Somehow we are much more powerful" Evan says. 

" How do we fight back" I ask.

"We need to get the knife she has in her pocket, that knife can kill anyone with one stab, it contains poison." Evan explains and I look at Karmen's waist and notice the knife. She always has it with her. 

" Soldiers, you can now kill them." Karmen orders. 

Wait what?!
