Your heart is beating; your mind isn't working; the silence is resounding, that was happening when Yuji came in front of you as he looked into your eyes and had a blush in his face.

"I love you (Y/N)!"

Yuji's face reddened even more and had traces of nervousness and excitement in his eyes.

Your eyes widened as a faint red crept up your face, averting your eyes anywhere but to the boy. You clenched your hands tightly, not knowing what to do from the heart tingling moment.

"Yuji... I-I'm Sorry. I-I can't accept your feelings."

Your hands trembled where you felt all the guilt and the brokenness of Yuji.

Nobara and Megumi suddenly jaw dropped and froze when they finally went away from their hiding place after eavesdropping. They looked Yuji with pity with their shocked eyes.

The two didn't anticipate your shocking reply that echoed in their ears because they know what you truly feel.

You hesitated to walk away, but you knew it would be the best choice at that moment. You walked away while Yuji stood there, stunned.

"Y-Yuji, don't cry HA HA HA. W-We'll talk to her about it."

"Y-Yeah, she's right, cheer up."

Nobara and Megumi tried their best to cheer him up when they saw him frown, but then his face was full of determination after a second of sadness.

Yuji clenched his hands and said in a soft voice, "I won't give up on her." and went forward.

Megumi and Nobara don't know what Yuji was thinking, but they wanted to help the two of you. So the black-haired boy went to talk to you the next day when you stayed in an isolated area of the school.

"Hey, are you okay?"

You glanced at your back and said a soft, "No."

Megumi looked pressured from the idea of talking to you because he isn't good at dealing with those kinds of talk, so he sat beside you an gave you your favorite drink.

"Why did you say that?"

He stared at you, waiting for an answer as you look down and play with the bottled drink nervously.

"I-I love him, but I don't think I deserve him."

You didn't know what to say and how to explain it, but Megumi signaled that he understands and said, "You need to talk to him." and goes away because you seemed in need of space.

When you came back, you were nervous to talk to Yuji, but then you see him beam a smile to you that made you surprised.

The following days, Yuji kept on doing good things to you and being his unusual happy self. He always calls your name happily, smiles at you, and even helped you in a lot of things.

You are a bit worried, whether he was acting happy from what occurred or did something good happened to him that you didn't know.

He kept on doing things for you, and you are very grateful for that, but, "Why?"

When it was time for a break from your current mission, everyone went to a good restaurant where you always go.

You knew Yuji loves to eat that is why you resisted yourself to do so because he was always working hard, and he did things for you, but then you noticed him eat fewer than before, and instead, he gave it to you.

"Here, (Y/N), do you want some?"

Your curiosity was even greater than before as you subconsciously asked him, "Why are you doing this to me?"

The loud table became silent from your question as Yuji stared at you while Nobara and Megumi pulled each other and made an excuse to go outside after feeling being the third wheel.

"Why are you so kind to me even though I rejected you? I mean, I-I did that to you a-and-."

"You thought that you're not meant for me, right?"

You are surprised by what he said as he continued to stare deeply in your eyes. You immediately remembered the words you told Megumi and looked at him outside while he felt the chills from your look.

"No, No! Megumi didn't say anything. I-I heard it when I was about to go to you."

Yuji laughed awkwardly and kept silent about how Nobara forced him to eavesdrop from the conversation.

"I felt crushed after you rejected me, but I never lost hope since the beginning. I-If you don't deserve me, then who will? So I-I want to confess to you one more time (Y/N), please be true to yourself!"

His voice began to be loud but soft at the same time. His focus was on you while you averted your eyes anywhere but him, seeing the people in the restaurant to be blushing.

"I love you (Y/N)!"

He grabbed your hands and looked at your glimmering eyes. You placed a consecutive short glance at the boy and finally dared to look straight at him.

"I-I love you too, Yuji!"

You reddened as he held your hands tightly. He smiled widely and wrapped his arms around you while you bury your head from his chest from the shyness when everyone's eyes where on the both of you.

When everyone's settled down, and the two secret helpers came back, Megumi and Nobara saw the both of you sitting side by side, hands held together.

Nobara smirked weirdly and brought out her phone, saying that she recorded everything. You tried to delete it from embarrassment, but then your phone started blinking. She sent it to everyone.
