Y/N had intended to spring out of bed with the morning music, but as it turned out, she didn't have to.

Her door slammed open, and someone rushed into her room, leaping onto her chest before she could move.

"N/N, N/N!" Hae cried, shaking her shoulders violently. "Get up, get up!"

Y/N was on her feet in a second, jerking her head around the room. "W-What's going on? Bombs?"

"It's Cabbage Day!" Hae exclaimed, throwing her arms up in the air.

Y/N blinked at her, trying to calm her racing heart. "W-What?"

"CCCP is bringin' me cabbages!" Hae grabbed the sleeve of Y/N's nightgown, dragging her out of the room. "Come on!"

"C-Can I get dressed first?" Y/N asked, trying to pull up the shoulder of her top.

      "Nope!"

"Hae." SH yawned, walking down the hallway from the washroom. She had apparently been woken up, too. "The morning music hasn't even played yet- let Y/N get dressed."

Hae pouted, but released Y/N's sleeve, allowing her to get ready.

She picked out her warm, red knit sweater, and black leggings. The high-rise was only getting colder as the New Year loomed.

After brushing her teeth, Y/N finally allowed Hae to drag her downstairs, just as the morning music started.

The other provinces were already gathered around the table, looking incredibly tired.

"Hae woke you up, too?" Kangwon asked her, dark circles just barely visible on his darker skin.

Y/N nodded, pouring herself a cup of tea, and scalding her tongue.

"Really, Hae," Hwang chided. "You wake us all up early so you can get two cabbages?"

"Krim said that's what'cha do on Cabbage Day," Hae chirped, and Krim nodded cheerily.

"Папа always woke me up really early so we could open presents, then go to church."

"No one is going to church," Korea said, striding in. "I still refuse to believe that Russia is actually religious."

"He says it looks good to be sitting in a pew on Christmas," Krim piped. "And since everyone is busy praying, they don't notice that he's drunk."

"CCCP is right." Korea shook his head. "Russia is a terrible influence."

       "Ay-uh," Hae quickly agreed.

Korea went to take his seat at the head of the table, but hesitated when he saw Y/N sitting on the cushion next to it. Usually, she had taken as far away a seat as she could get.

She smiled nervously at him as he sat down.

"Good morning," the republic greeted her warily.

"M-Morning." She wrung her hands, staring at her lap. "Sorry about... before."

      "What?" He looked confused.

     "N-Nothing," she said quickly.

"O-hay-ou goza-i-mas-u!" Nipponia sounded out, bursting through the door. "I come bearing gifts." She pouted for a second, glancing around the room. "Is China-chan not back yet?"

"No," Korea growled. "I'm going to send the Sex Crimes Unit after him." He looked puzzled for a second. "Do we have that here?"

"Forget about that guy," Hae cut in, darting up to Nipponia. "What'd'ya get us? Cabbage? More a' those squishy cakes?"
