Y/N's shock unfroze as something rocketed into the Grand People's Study House, sending pieces of the building flying. She leaped to the side, narrowly dodging a chunk of debris that would have decapitated her.

    'Korea.'

She gazed desperately around, trying to see through the smoke that was already blanketing the area. Korea was nowhere in sight.

Kim Il-sung Square. He would probably be heading towards the other side of the river to the residential area to help evacuate his people.

   "N/N!"

Y/N whipped around as Hae and Ryanggang came sprinting out of the high-rise.

"Come back!" Hae cried, flinching as more of the Study House crumbled.

"Korea can handle himself!" Ryanggang called.

"I'm sorry!" Y/N turned and ran, running as fast as possible for the Square.

A loud groaning echoed, and the south wall of the Grand People's Study House finished collapsing, spilling rubble across the road.

"N/N!" Hae screamed again as the girl was put directly in the path of destruction.

Instincts taking over, Y/N ducked, shielding her face against the tons of rock.

By some miracle, she escaped the worst of it, only a shower of smaller shards hitting her.

But now the way to the Square was blocked.

'I'll have to take Somun Street,' she thought, wheeling around, dodging through the ruins of the building.

She hoped that there hadn't been people inside.

"Just go back in!" she yelled to her friends, running across the lot. "I'll be fine!"

Another rocket whistled nearby, ending in a loud 'boom!' that shook Y/N to her core, a second before she realised how close it had really been, and was sent flying, tumbling across the ground.

The parking lot exploded into cement shrapnel, the ground tearing up.

"I'm okay!" she yelled immediately, using the ruined ground to put distance between the Provincehumans and her, pain stinging her shredded skin. To her relief, she heard them both call back. If they hadn't, she would have had to try and rescue them.

Shouting surrounded her, mingled English and Korean from the tar-black smoke.

'That's the kind of smoke that comes from a burning home,' Y/N thought, slightly hysterically.

She caught sight of a figure in the distance- Nipponia, already tearing through a group of American soldiers, using her katana to cut them down where they stood. The Countryhuman was covered in gore, and grinning widely.

Y/N didn't call out. A mad light shone in the republic's eyes, leading her to think that the katana blade might just end up in her. She wondered if the cat-girl even remembered about Krim.

'I need to move.' She started to run again as another blast rang out, followed by the creak and crash of another building falling.

Somun Street was a straight shot to Sungri Street, usually. But now it was covered in debris, and men and women with guns.

A group of their soldiers ran by her, carrying a wounded comrade in their arms, as another fired behind her with her machine gun.

'A Type 73.' The information, told to her by China months ago, welled uselessly into her brain. She ducked into the shadows of a pile of rubble.
