Con Job

Karina's POV

Soundwave intercepted a autobot transmission between the autobot base and a guy called Wheel-jack, a war hero. "We haven't much time. Makeshift! " Starscream calls. Another decepticon appears and Soundwave touches it with one of it's tentacles. Making it change shape to look like the autobot on his face screen. "I do know how to prepare a proper welcome" he says smirking.

"They'll figure out he's a fake, sounds like Wheel-jack and Bulkhead are close. It won't take him long" I tell him.

"I think you'll find Makeshift is an excellent infiltrator" Starscream tells me. "He has nevee failed" he states. Makeshift leaves with a squad of troops to capture Wheel-jack.

We watch the fight on screen. Wheel-jack is awesome, no wonder he and Bulkhead get along. They appear to have a similar fighting style. "Swiftly, before the autobots arrive" Starscream tells Soundwave who nods his head.

The decepticons caught Wheel-jack and switched him with Makeshift. The Autobots fell for it and took the fake back to base. Now Soundwave and Starscream are heading ro the holding cell with me in tow.

"You know I haven't eaten or drunk anything in days. If I don't,  I'll die" I grumble tiredly. But they ignore me as usual and I sigh closing my eyes.

"The moment Makeshift passed through that ground bridge, we lost his tracking signal. The autobot base is no doubt heavily shielded to prevent us from locating it" Starscream states.

"Duh" I drawl.

"No, matter" Starscream says. "I have complete faith in makeshift" he states as we enterWheel-jack's holding cell. "Our inside man is already inside" he says looking at the bound Wheel-jack.

"Tell Megatron he's fragged in the head if he thinks Bulkhead won't sniff out an imposter" Wheel-jack tells them.

"Already told them that, they don't believe me. I'm Karina, friend of Autobots and another peisoner here" I say waving.

"Pleasue" he says.

"Haven't you heard? I lead the Decepticons now" Starscream tells him.

"You, ha!" Wheel-jack says not believing him. Starscream foes to hit him, but Soundwave stops him.

"Yes, he may yet be of use" Starscream admits. "Makeshift is very good at keeping up appearances. He need only fool your friends long enough to open their ground bridge from within so that I may finally learn the location of the autobot base and send in my strike team to stain its floor with the spilled energon of Optimus Prime" he explains.

"Soundwave leave the human here, see that she is brought human nutriates " he orders.  Soundwaves puts me down and my legs buckle under me as they leave shutting the door behind them.

"Are you ok?" Wheel-jack asks me.

"Yeah just tired, low on energy. Been here nearly a week" I tell him. I lean against the wall and play with my necklace. "I'm just glad my cousin and friends weren't captured also" I add.

"Where did you get that crystal?" Wheel-jack asks me.

"It's a piece of the cave my parents died in. It was the last thing they gave me before they died or in your words offlined" I explain.

"You should keep it hidden" he tells me.

"Why?" I ask. Just then a guard comea in and I cower behind Wheel-jack as the con starts to beat him. Wheel-jack knocks it out and opens the door.

"Lets get out of here" he tells me smiling. He places me on his shoulder and I hold on tight as he exits the room. "You know the way out?" he asks me.

"That way, I think" I tell him poiting to the left. We managed to make it out and climb to the top of the ship. Where decepticons are waiting for a ground bridge. Wheel-jack puts me down and I stay behind him.

"Maybe they gave your boy such a hero's welcome, he got the warm and fuzzies and decided to switch sides" Wheel-jack states.

"Do you not see that you are vastly outnumbered? With only a weak fragile human as an allie?" Starscream asks him.

"I see fellas who might vastly enjoy watching me pound some dents into you" Wheel-jack states.

"Destroy him and recapture the human" Starscream orders.

"Stay behind me" Wheel-jack tells me drawing his swords. I nod my head and he takes the cons head on. "If a bridge opens, fo through it. Don't wait for me" he states.

Soon a ground bridge appears and I shout "Wheel-jack!"

"Go!" Wheel-jack shouts and I run through. I appear behind the fake Wheel-jack.  "Karina, duck" the real one says. I crouch protecting my head as he kicks Makeshift in the bac. Making him drop Miko, luckily Bulkhead caught her.

"Raf!" I shout and run over and hug him tightly.

"Karina!" he cheers hugging me back as Wheel-jack tells them to close thw bridge. We the watch Wheel-jack and Makeshift fight.

"Which is the real Wheel-jack?" Raf asks.

"I lost track" Miko states.

"I haven't" I state as I watch him closely keeping Raf close. Wheel-jack wins.

"That's my Jackie!" Bulkhead declares.

"Sure is" I agree as Wheel-jack puts his swords away.

"You, hit the switch. It's time to take out the trash" Wheel-jack tells Ratchet. "All yours buddy" he tells Bulkhead. Who grabs Makeshift and tosses him through the now open bridge.  Ratchet closes it again.

"I'm tired now" I state and start to fall, Jack catches me.

"Easy Karina, you're safe now" he tells me.

"I need three cheese burgers, a large fries and coke" I state.

"Guess they didn't feed you" Raf says.

"Yep and hardly let me sleep" I state.

"Lets party" Miko declars. I sit in a chair as she starts to play her guitat. Optimus returns with food.  I eat happily as the others danced.

"So anything exciting happen while I was gone?" I ask them.

"Optimus and Arcee nearly frooze to death. While the others nearly became svramplet chew " Miko states.

"What's a Scraplet?" I ask them curious.

"Hope you never meet one" Jack states.

"Thanks for taking care of my little cousin. How did our science project go?" I ask Raf.

"Failed" he says.

"Oh well, we'll just have to study harder. I trust you got all my homework" I state.

"It's in your room" he tells me. Wheel-jack decides to leave, but Optimus assured him thay he is always welcome.  Wheel-jack tried to convince Bulkhead to go with him,  but he refused. I thanked Wheel-jack for helping me escape and returning me to Raf. Before he left Miko got a photo of him with Bulkhead.
