Karina Torres: TFP

Other Relics

The events in this chapter cover the next three episodes. Triangulation, Triage and Toxicity. I know all happened at the same time, but I rearranged things a little so that Karina could be involved. I hope you all like it.

(Triangulation) Karina's POV

Raf bridged us back to base. The phase shifter was put into the vault and Raf offered me a glass of energon. I gave him a grateful smile accepting it. I would have licked to go help Optimus, as he has no back up. But I know I need some time to recharge and I am not dressed for cold weather. Besides Arcee and Bumblebee are now on stand by encase anyone needs back up.

Still no word from the other three teams yet. Which worries me a little. But I know how good they are and I can't lose hope. Otherwise the others will notice. Just then Optimus calls in asking if Agent Fowler has regained consciousness.

"I'm here, Prime. What's your situation?" Fowler asks him. He is helping coordinate the search effort with Raf.

"I require access to a research facility at my current coordinates" Optimus tells him.

"Let me make a call" Fowler tells him. "Karina, please take over while I make the call" he tells me. I nod and fly over to the console.

"Hi Optimus, so Arcee, Bee, Jack, Miko and I completed our mission" I tell him.

"That is good to hear Karina, any injuries?" he asks.

"Nothing we can't handle, but poor Knockout will take day to buff and repaint himself" I giggle. "He got hit by a train" I tell him.

"Well I am glad you all are ok" he states. "Let me know once Fowler has the clearance" he tells me. I assure him I will and we end the chat. Not long after Fowler returns from his phone call.

"Base is clear, Prime. Try not to wreck the joint" he tells him.

"Many thanks, Agent Fowler" Optimus says.

"S0 we have no idea what these relics are?" Fowler asks.

"None, but better we have them then the decepticons. Like with the Spark Extractor" I tell him. He nods his head in agreement.

(Triage)

"Maybe one of us should of gone with Ratchet and Wheeljack, to ensure they don't kill each other" I state.

"Well to late now" Raf tells me.

"I'm sure they'll be fine" Fowler assures me. "Ratchet will keep Wheeljack in line" he adds.

"No one keeps Wheeljack in line" I tell him. "Anything from Bulkhead?" I ask Raf. He shakes his head. "What about Optimus?" I ask Fowler.

"Not since I gave him the all clear" Fowler states.

"Raphael. We have a situation" Ratchet says on the laptop. I hand it to Raf and take over mentoring communications with Bulkhead.

"What do you need Ratchet?" Raf asks him. Ratchet explains the situation. He and Wheeljack have Laserbeak, Soundwave's pet. He wishes to put a virus in it that will then affect the Decepticon computer and transmit us the rest of the Icon database. Quite an ingenious plan. If we can pull it off before Soundwave comes looking for Laserbeak.

"If you could write a source code for the virus, my scanner will translate it to Cybertronian script as it uploads" Ratchet tells Raf.

"I can do it, but if you wanna keep the virus in from the 'Cons, you'll need a decoy, you know, like a second virus" Raf tells him.

"Or something less complicated" Ratchet states.

"A bomb would be a good decoy" I state.

"A decoy was we want them to find it and it doesn't blow?" Wheeljack asks joining the conversation.
