After Payton walked off I was about to run after him but then I thought "I should probably let him be alone for a bit" so I stayed and waited for Faith to come back. She came back to the dock and got out and we decided to go sit in the hot tub. Well I sat on the side with my feet in it. We sat there about 10 minutes then I decided to go check on Payton. I walked in and heard crying up in the room so I waked up the stairs to see a bloodshot red eyed Payton sitting on the bed with the box in front of him.
Y: hey are you ok P: yeah um I'm good Y: stop lying to me Payt I know when something is wrong P: it's just...fuck it
He kissed me. The only thing I could do was kiss back. This kiss was different, it wasn't turning into a make out, it was like the one that happened when I left. It was passionate and gentle. He pulled away and stared into my eyes.
P: I love you y/n and I always have
I started to cry because that's what I said when I kissed him before I left.
Y: I love you too Payton P: y/f/n...(your full name)...will you be my girlfriend
My jaw dropped
Y: yes. I breathed out and pulled him back into a kiss
I pulled away and just smiled at him as he smiled back. I looked at the box beside him and wondered what's inside.
Y: can I see what In the box P: yeah sure
He opened the box and my eyes got watery at the sight of all these memories in this one box. I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder going through all the pictures. I didn't really understand why he put all this in a box but I didn't question him.
P: where's Faith Y: hot tub P: we should go scare her Y: omg yes P: cmon
He grabbed my hand pulling me down the stairs and outside to the hot tub. Faith was facing the opposite side of the hot tub where I was sitting previously. We slowly snuck up behind her being as quiet at possible.
Y,P: BOO F: AH, don't do that Y: oh come in that was funny P: yeah come on Faith don't be a puss F: watch it, you know what mom said about you cussing P: well I don't see mom here, do you F: no but I can tell her P: and how can she believe you if you don't have proof F: well I have videos of you singing in the car on the way here P: ok you got me there Y: well I'm tired can we go to sleep P: yeah come on babe F: babe? Y: shit you blew our cover F: wait you...- P: yeah I did Y: took long enough F: OMG WAIT IM SO HAPPY RN Y: ok well can go to sleep I'm really tired P: yeah come on
We started to walk inside but Faith stopped us and told us to post on insta about it. So we took pictures and posted them on both of our accounts.
