Ruhi jumped hearing her father's angry words, her hands fumbling as she clipped her mother's locket around her neck. It was nothing much, just a simple gold chain with a peacock feather and flute shaped locket. It wasn't much expensive either, just something very simple but to her it was the most precious thing in her life. It was the only thing that she had of her mother's, that made her feel safe and like her mother was always there with her.
"Ruhi! " He shouted again breaking the chain of her thoughts as her hearts sped up and fear wrapped around her heart in a vice grip, she looked at herself one final time. Her long silky curls that reached till her mid thighs were left open. She had red pouty lips and small nose, all her features matched well with her heart shaped face. She was considered the most beautiful girl in the town but she didn't see anything special. Her dark doe shaped eyes were dull due to the pain she experienced everyday.
