He just stood their behind the dancing crowd. He was smirking, he was staring at me. But...

He looked different. He looked younger...

I was then snapped back to reality when I felt arms wrap around my waist. I gigled as Kaleb kissed my cheek, sending tingles on my face.

"Babe?" He asked as I hummed. "What's wrong?" He asked as I turned around facing him, his eyes were filled with worry as he slightly pouted.

"There's nothing wrong." I lied shaking my head. I felt my chest tighten, knowing I lied to him.

His eyes darkened. "Tell me what's wrong." He growled as I sighed.

"Who's that?" I asked pointing at him. I sneaked a glance at his direction, I saw him talking to a member from our pack.

"Him?" Kaleb growled as I looked at him. His eyes were a pitch black and I sensed his wolf trying to get out. I gently put my hand on his chest as I see him turning calm.

"Who is he?" I asked as he sighed and looked at me. "He's the son of the neighboring pack." He answered as I let out a sigh of relief.

He was definitely not the King of Rogues.

"What's his name?" I asked again as he looked at me. Kaleb's eyebrow arched up. "Why are you curious about him?" He asked as a low growl rumbled from his chest.

"I'm just curious. " I said. I wasn't lying, I was curious... and suspicious.

"Well okay, angel. May I have that kiss that was rudely interrupted awhile ago?" He asked as I chuckled and nodded.

He leaned in again as I did also. Our lips were almost touching as he held on my back and pushed me clo-

"SAPPHIRE! "

I leaned back and saw Coco running towards us. Kaleb again mumbled some cursed words. Coco ran towards me and held on my hands.

He then looked behind me and stuck his tongue out. I looked behind as I saw Kaleb with crossed hands and tongue stuck out. I chuckled at the two and looked at Coco.

"What is it Coco?" I asked as he held on my other hand and stepped side by side.

"Dance." He said as I chuckled and danced with him.

"Sapphire, do you have wings?" He whspered as he stepped closer to me.

I scrunched my eyebrows and looked at the child.

"Cause I have. I found it awhile ago, before the party." He said as I my eyes widened.

"I'll show you."

He dragged me to a table and he went under it. I scunched my brows.

His little head then popped through the fabric. "Come, come." He said as I slowly went under the table.

"Close your eyes." He said covering my eyes with one hand. I closed it and he let go. I bit my lip.

I felt Coco move around as he settled.

"Open eyes." He giggled as I slowly opened it. He giggled again as I my mouth was agape and my eyes were wide. He had wings. Black wings.

Black toy wings.

And here I was, thinking Coco was a guardian.

"Do you have wings?" He asked as I looked up and tapped my bottom cheek. "I don't know. " I lied as he scrunched his brows.

"But he says you do." He said.

I raised a brow. "Who?"

"N- nobody." His voice stuttered as he ran out of the table.
