The Truth

i can't say i am okay

already.

it has just been a little more than a day

or two.

not sure if i am relieved

you made it clear you needed me to leave

you alone.

i hope i will be gone

i do not trust my feet and phone.

But i believe i will part this disagreement agreeably.

while you pursue whatever other dresses you might find

i will search through my mind

rewind

find a reason to leave this mess behind

and "be gone"

i won't lie, i was stupid

thinking i could change someone like you

if only i knew

from the start, i'd never have cared

but because i wasn't dared

i guess i blame my optimism for this mistake.

i will walk away,

try not a second look to take

i don't want your ghost in my world

the stench of your betrayal is already too much to take.

so its goodbye you
