Y/N's POV
So this week is prom week Tori and I were going shopping for a dress after school. I told Jade I wanted my dress to be a surprise so she was going with Cat and I'm not even sure if she will be wearing a dress because I mean, it's Jade .At the mall we went to so many stores when finally I saw a beautiful burgundy dress and I tried it on, it fit perfectly. I sent a picture of me in it to my dad. I was so excited for prom, ever since I came out I was nervous because I wanted a date but my mom obviously wouldn't let me bring a girl. Now since my mom is out of my life I don't have to worry about being a completely different person I get to be myself. After Tori and I got our dresses we went to get some yogurt in the mall, I noticed my mom was there and I was hoping she wouldn't notice me, but of course she did. She walked over to us and Tori glanced at me nervously, 

"hello Y/N and Tori, is it" she said and Tori replied 

"yes ma'am you're correct" 

mom looked at me and raised her eyebrow expecting me to respond so I did 

"hello mother interesting to see you here" I said coldly. 

"I see you're shopping for prom dresses, did you find a nice guy to go with" she asked,

I looked at Tori, she looked uncomfortable and I wanted to punch her out right there but she wasn't worth it. I just replied

 "no,I am going with my girlfriend because I am gay and we are going to have an amazing time.If you weren't so homophobic you might like her because she treats me great but that doesn't matter to you unless its a guy treating me great, right" I grabbed Toris hand and dragged her to the yogurt shop leaving my mom speechless.

After we were done with our yogurt we decided to head home I texted my dad and told him we saw mom at the mall, he responded worried about what she said so I explained. At the house I went to my room and put my dress away making sure Jade wouldn't see it if she was in my room. The Vegas were worried about me but I told them I was fine I just wanted to be alone and I went up to my room. I was extremely upset and I needed to take my anger out, after being in my room awhile I heard a knock on my door. 

"Come on in, babe" I said already knowing it was Jade because I had a feeling Tori asked her to check on me,

 "how'd you know it was me" she asked as she came to sit on the bed,

she hugged me and sat down.

"I'm just that good, what did Tori tell you" I asked still a little pissed off at the whole situation.

 "she just asked me to come over, what happened baby" she answered.

I started messing with the sleeve of my shirt subconsciously 

 "I saw my mom at the mall"

 Jade picked my chin up with her fingers and gave me a sad look then it finally clicked what she was thinking.

 "No, Jadey. No I didn't do anything I promise, except cry for a while" I said with tears in my eyes, Jade gave me a soft smile

 "actually instead of cutting I drew my anger and was gonna rip it up once I was done being sad" I finished. 

Jade had tears in her eyes and had the biggest smile on her face, she wrapped me up in a hug
