I got changed into the longest dress I could find. Praise the Lord I had gone shopping a few weeks ago with Scarlet and bought this floor length summer dress.
Scarlet, it had only been a day or so into the break and I already missed her like crazy. But she knew now, knew what I was like. Her opinion on me was sure to change. I debated calling her, but in the end I decided against it. Knowing it would only lead to the dreaded conversation where Scar says she can no longer be my friend due to my disgusting habit.
"Emma let's go!" Justin shouted up the stairs.
"Coming..." I hastily replied. Although it was scorching hot outside I threw on a cardigan, trying to hide every aspect of skin shown possible.
"You look lovely." Nathan kissed the top of my head and wrapped his arms around me guiding me towards the door where everyone was waiting.
"Ready to go?" Justin questioned.
"Can I please just stay home?" I tried one last time.
Justin sighed, "No Em, we're all going out. Please stop complaining."
I sighed in defeat and stomped my way over to the car.
"Nathan and I are driving separately."
"What?" Luke popped his head out the car window. "No way, if we have to ride with Justin you do to."
"No. I'm driving and Nathan and I are taking the truck."
"No way, we're all-"
"Fine," Justin interrupted Luke's rant "You guys can take the truck."
I stuck out my tongue to Lucas in defeat and practically skipped my way over to the truck. If I was stuck going to this God awful dinner I was at least going to have one hell of a time getting there.
