I pounded on my steering wheel as I drove around, no destination in mind just not wanting to go home. The look on Nathans face when I left, dear God that look drives me insane. His face was pure shock, shocked that he got caught. Well guess what buddy, that's what happens when you cheat.

"If I die young bury me in satin-" My ring tone starting playing as I turned the corner onto Scarlet's street.

Nathan- The caller I.D read, no way was I picking up to hear his pathetic excuses as to why he had acted the way he did. Lies would fly out of his mouth, trying to make up for the horrible deed he had committed. All I saw in the picture was him kissing a girl, but who knows what came after that. Where they could have ran off to and what they may have done. The thought sent shivers down my back.

I pulled into Scarlet's driveway, hoping she was in and not out for once. My tear stained face made its way to her door, where after a few minutes of waiting I was welcomed with a familiar face.

"Emma sweetie, what's wrong?" Scarlet's mom answered the door pulling me into a hug.

"Hi Donna, is Scarlet home?" I said after she finally pulled away. She held me at arms length looking me up and down.

"Of course dear, she's upstairs in her room. Head on up."

"Thank you."I smiled, slowly making my way up the stairs to her room.

I lightly knocked before opening the door. "Scar?" I opened the door wider to see her sitting on her bed, headphones in probably watching netflix. I waved my hands in the air, trying to get her attention before intruding.

"Emma, I didn't expect to see you here. Wait, why is your makeup all over your face, what happened?" Scarlet quickly rushed over and pulled me into a hug, just like her Mom had done.

"Scar... its all wrong. You don't understand." I broke into a fit of tears, my best friend pulling me over to her bed where I collapsed and preceded to tell her everything, it was time she knew. I was tired of carrying this weight with me, the secret I was hiding from everyone I cared about.

Scarlet held my hand the entire way through, looking me in the eye and not forcing me to proceed when it was obvious I wanted nothing more than to stop talking and vanish. By the end of it she just sat there staring at me, not saying a word.

"Em, that's a lot to take in."

"I know...I'm sorry Scar, I just didn't know how to tell you...."

"It's okay, it doesn't change who you are, you're still the same Emma to me."

My best friend was truly amazing, her most redeeming quality was that she was never one to judge. You could tell her you murdered a man and she would let you explain and wouldn't make a decision until you were done.

"Wait, that still doesn't explain why you came to me in a fit of tears tonight."

I took a deep breath, "Nathan kissed another girl tonight Scar. He went to the club with Justin and Charlie and Lucas and I got a picture. He kissed another girl. And I'm not even upset about it anymore, I mean obviously I am, but I'm just so mad. I just want to stop thinking about it and forget."

"Then we will, let's forget about boys and all the stupid things they do tonight." Scarlet stood up and pulled me off her bed with her heading towards her door.

"How, I can't just forget what he did."

"You will, as soon as you've had enough to drink you'll hardly be able to remember your own name. Let alone that Nate kissed another girl. Come on."

Scarlet lead me down her stairs and towards the front door.

"Mom, Emma and I are going out for a bit." Scarlet yelled to her mom.

"Be safe sweetie, text me if you need a ride."

"Okay, bye!" We walked out her front door and Scarlet was on the move, destination in mind.

"Scar, wait up!" I ran to catch up with her, "How are we going to get drinks. We shouldn't be doing this."

"Emma its okay, we'll go sit in the park it's late so no one will be there. I'll call Tony to bring us something."

"Scarlet, your brother isn't going to bring us booze. I should just go home." I started turning the other way to go back to her house and grab my car but she caught my wrist and kept me there.

"Tony will bring us some, trust me. Please, this will help you with Nathan." Scarlet kept pulling me for about five minutes until we got to an old play ground where she finally let me go. "I'll call Tony now, relax."

I walked around the park waiting for Scarlet to get off the phone with her brother. I pulled out my phone to see I had five missed calls from Nate and two from Lucas. I once again didn't bother to listen to any of the messages or read any of the texts any of them had sent me. It wasn't worth it.

"Tony will be here in like two minutes," Scarlet said walking over to me. "He said that Justin called him asking if you were with me. He told him no, but you should probably call him and tell him that you're with me."

I laughed at Scarlet's idea, "Scar, you want me to get drunk with you but tell my brother where I am. It's all or nothing girl, your choice."

She hesitated for a moment, obviously considering the consequences to both choices. "We're all in then. I think that's Tony's car. Wait here so he doesn't see you."

I waited for a few minutes while Scarlet talked to her brother. My phone started ringing again, Lucas calling.

"What?" I asked, answering my phone.

"Where the hell are you? I've been calling you for like the past hour." Lucas' worried voice rang through my phone.

"I'm out."

"Well no shit I noticed that. I meant where?"

"Lucas I'm fine. I'll be home later, okay?"

"No Emma, not okay. You need to come home now."

"Bye Lucas." I ended the call before he had the chance to answer and set my phone as silent.

"Who was that?" Scarlet asked.

"No one important. Did Tony bring you the drinks?"

"Yep!" She smiled holding up a bottle of i don't know what.

"Let's get crazy." I smiled back as she opened the bottle. If Nathan could go out and have fun so could I.
