I know it had only been a few days since I had decided I was going to work on getting better and changing my life around, but damn is it hard.

I went to sleep after Nate and Scarlett had left, I was upset with everything that had been said. It seemed like things went well, but I still didn't feel right, and that I had more to say. I woke up to my alarm going off, signaling that it was time to go for group. I still hated going to group, but it's something that will help me move towards healthy and better Emma; so group time it is.

I got to group and sat down next to Patrick. "How are you Patrick?"

"Let's just leave talking until group begins." Patrick stared into the empty space in front of him.

"Alright guys, lets get group started."

"Where's Rachel?" I looked up at Jake, who was for some odd reasoning was running group today.

"She's meeting with some parents right now, for someone new that's going to be joining our program. Today we're each going to take a time saying what our end goal is from this place, and what we need to get there. And of course anything else you want to say you are always more than welcome to share with us. Patrick why don't you start us off?"

"I don't know."

"You don't know where you want to be at the end of your time here?" Jake sat down in the chair across from me, giving me a full frontal view of that handsome man.

"Nope." Patrick shifted awkwardly in his chair, "Next person?"

"We aren't done with you yet. Do you want to go home after this, move out on your own? Go to University or get right into the work force?"

"I just want to get the hell out of here. I'm doing so much better, and I went for my evaluation yesterday to see if I can go home and you assholes said no. Its time for me to leave! Why can't you guys see that?" Patrick threw his chair against the wall and stomped out of the room.

"Alright then. Stacy you're up, where do you want to go from here?" Jake moved onto the next person in a heartbeat, like Patrick hadn't just throw a chair and left the room in tears. Some days Jake was the most passionate person I have ever met, and then there's days like today that I swear he doesn't have a heart.

We went one by one, each person saying how one day they wanted to be free from their demons and living life to the fullest and blah blah blah. There was only ten people in group so time passed quick and before I knew it we were down to the last person, me.

"Alright Emma, you're the last one. What are you going to do once you get out of here?" Jake leaned onto his knees, making his adam's apple even larger.

"I plan on taking you home, ripping your clothes off and kissing all up and down your body Jake." Is what I thought.

"I'm going to go home and spend time with my loving boyfriend Nathan, and try to re-connect with my family. I haven't talked to my brothers in a while, and there's a lot of tension there..... So i'm going to try and fix some problems there. Then I'll go back to school and graduate, or maybe  I'll finish from home."

"That's great. Group dismissed." Jake smiled at everyone and then went back to looking at his clipboard. He had made a conversation with everyone else in group with their ideas after leaving here. Mine was a "that's great", what does that even mean.

I waited until everyone had left to stand up to go. Except fuck leaving, I was going to walk right up to Jake and ask him what's up.

"What was that Jake?"

"What was what?" He didn't even bother to lift his eyes off his clipboard.

"Hey, I'm up here." I waved my hand catching his attention and pulling his attention to my eyes. "What was having a heartfelt conversation with everyone else, and then giving me a one word response? You're the one who doesn't want people knowing there's something happening here, well people are going to notice if you can't say more than two works to me in public."

"So there's something happening here?" Jake gave me a playful look with those big gorgeous brown eyes of his.

"That's not the point Jake, the point is you need to start acting like you're my councilor and nothing more." The more I spoke to him the more I became sure of myself.  "This is my time to get better, sure I may have an attraction to you, but this isn't the time for that. This is the time for me to focus on me. I'm going to go now, but please think about that."

I was at the door before Jake finally answered, "Emma wait." I turned around ask Jake pushed himself off of the chair and walked towards me. "This is the last one."

"The last wha?-" My question was answered by Jake's lips locking onto mine. He pulled away quickly, leaving me wanting more. So I got what I wanted, and pulled Jake back in, firmly kissing him and lightly tugging on his hair.

When I kissed him I got butterflies, everywhere. My body lit up in a way it never had before, it was never like this when I kissed Nate. Nate was always safe and comforting, but Jake lit a fire in me, and left me hungry for more.

"Okay," Jake pulled away from our embrace and left me struggling to get just a little bit more. "That's the last one."

I nodded my head and left the room, feeling like I was walking on cloud nine.
