Christmas Haikus
Flakes of snow falling
Children gleefully playing
Sliding down the hills
Christmas is coming
Gifts for each and every child
So hard now to sleep
Two week holidays
Anticipation of toys
Time enough to play
As they grow older
They learn Santa is not real
Troubled years ahead
New dreams, new crushes
Bodies changing, love blossoms
First kiss at a dance
Young one has first date
Learns love is a powerful thing
Seems it all went bad
Kids games and struggles
Love is a two bladed sword
Need family now
Season to love all
Hold all family so close
Simpler times gone
Best friend and cold beer
So many new choices to make
Board games and first cars
Things long forgotten
After a few years go past
Love marriage children
Kids grow up so fast
Care for them love them so much
Still make our mistakes
Growing up is hard
But there is a big reward
True bliss and true joy
