I Can See You
I can see your eyes
Your disguise
And to my surprise
You don’t see what you’ve become
Lady on the bus
Lady on the bus
Are you a child of God
Will you tell me I’m a sinner
That I’m just a young beginner
I wonder if
You once used to drink like me
Think like me
Dream of the days when
You could have kids and then
Raise them how you thought you should
And found out you were wrong
Did you go out Saturday
After dark
To drink in the park
Steal your Dad’s cigs
And say
You would never grow old
And become that way
Lady, old lady on the bus
We all get that way
One day
I just wish you weren’t so sad
And that I knew why you looked mad
Because my Mom was just like you
Before she passed

Poems From Inside Me
الشعرThis is a chapbook of poetry that led me to dedicate myself to writing, whether it be for money or simply to express myself. In this book I talk about family, love, loss and all the illusions that life brings us through.
