THANKSGIVING DAY PART 2

AUGUST P.O.V. –

I went into the room to go check on Amb. Stac was holding Sata, and Cha and the girls were in the kitchen eating cake.

“Baby.” I closed the door behind me.

Amb was laid across the middle of the bed on her stomach watching television.

“Babe.”  I sat on the bed and rubbed her thighs.

“Get your hands offa me.” She said with an attitude and removed my hands.

“So you mad at me na’?”

She didn’t respond. She just watched television.

“Mama just mad Amb. She know school all I got. You know my mama love you.”

“But did you defend me?” She turned over.

“Yeah, I said it wasn’t your fault.”

“Please.” She rolled her eyes and sat up.

“I didn’t hear not one word of you saying, how I literally crying myself  to sleep every single night because I want to help you so bad. Or how you didn’t tell me because of your fucking ego. Or how I physically left our home so that I could put everything I fucking had into helping you. But I’m a bad girlfriend? Tsk.”

“She was spazing I couldn’t interrupt her.” I ran my hand down the front of my face and sighed.

“Fuck you August.” Amber got in my face and then turned back over to watch television.

“That’s how you feel?”

“Yup. And from now on you can handle this shit your self. I’mma show you what a bad girlfriend is. A bitch that don’t give two shits about Mama Shelia’s boy. Maybe your mama can help you since she know everything.” She turned the channel.

“You trippin’ man.” I rubbed my forehead, like I had headache. This whole entire day was giving me one.

“You right. Because my mama was right, ever since I met you I’ve had nothing but drama in my life. But that’s my fault. That was my bad decision. Trusting a nigga, when I shouldn’t have. Downgrading when I should have upgraded. And then being dumb enough to get pregnant.”

“I know you mad, so I’mma let all this shit slide. But you not gon get away with saying I’m a fucking downgrade.” I got up. “Cause I ain’t did shit but try to be a better man for you and you know that.”

I looked at her to see if she would respond. She just adjusted her head on the pillow and stared forward at the television. There was a knock on our door. I opened it slightly.

“Amb somebodies out here to see you.” Cha peeked her head in.

“Okay. I’ll be out there.” Amb said getting off the bed, and looking in the mirror to check her face. I looked at her doing this, she just ignored me. And walked pass me out the door like, I wasn’t even here.

“Amb!” I heard what sounded like a familiar voice scream slightly in excitement.

“Aww you didn’t have to bring us wine. Thank you Onika.” Amb responded.

I went out, closing the bedroom door behind me. Amb was introducing the lady to everyone. Hold up is this…?

“Dr. Maraj?” I looked confused.

“Uh…” She said with a startled look on her face and a dumb ass smile.

“Her name is Onika.” Amb looked back at me with an attitude.
